Unfortunately it was confirmed this morning. Takes some of the fun out of this time of year, knowing we have to wait a year to continue to watch this guy develop. He's only 20 years old, so he has plenty of baseball ahead of him. Still sucks though.
Rather unusual for a non-pitcher to have TJS.

Good news: In June/July, he can start "non-throwing" activities, which means he can DH in Rochester, or even with the big club, if they so choose.

Yes it's unusual but not as bad for a position player to come back from. If anything I'm gonna look at the positive more Abs for Plouffe :)

I'm not hearing that, Jason. Rob Antony said he may be able to get in the cage by late summer, but I didn't hear anything about him being able to play this year. What did you hear?
Biggest issue for Miguel might be staying in shape and keeping his weight down the next few months.

I thought I let you know LST that's he's out for the year.
Top Twins prospect Miguel Sano will have Tommy John surgery, La Velle E. Neal III of StarTribune.com reports. Via MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger (on Twitter), the Twins have since confirmed that Sano will miss the entire 2014 season. Sano has had trouble with his ulnar collateral ligament going back to last season, and he injured it making a throw on Thursday.
I just don't understand why he didn't get the surgery earlier. Might be a bad comparison but I feel like Sydney Rice a couple years ago when he didn't get his hip surgey for the vikes. Hope he recovers fast!
