Though I give the start pitching some credit
So over the last 10 games if you exclude the beating Correa took in Boston
The twins have throwin 56 IP 16 ER with a outstanding 2.57 ERA
With my guy Hughes doing it up with 20 IP 18 Ks and No walks!!!1 ER with a 0.45 ERA in his last three starts :)

Your guy Hughes huh? I guess I didn't want him last off-season.
Very pleased with Hughes. Everything I (we) suspected about Hughes falling out in NY has been true to this point. New scene has been great for him.
Alex Meyer isn't with this staff yet, but man he's dealing. Making me eat every word I ever said about the Denard Span trade that I was heavily against.

Re: Though I give the start pitching some credit
The club is really fun to watch these days. I'm having a dream week for a Twins fan...seeing both games in San Diego the last two nights and getting ready to leave for San Francisco (once the traffic clears) to see all three this week. In San Diego, I watched 18 innings of baseball and the Padres only scored in one of them! Monday night they put out the worst lineup I have ever seen...the 4th through 7th hitters all had batting averages under .200, the number 8 guy was hitting .206, and then the pitcher was hitting .125. They even made Correia look good.
I'm not exactly sure how Hughes has been doing it, but he has been sensational. His curve ball used to be his out pitch, but now he just relies on his fastball 80-85% of the time. But still he gets guys out. If he pitched in San Diego with the breeze and wet air knocking down every fly ball, I think he would lead the league in ERA. Sure, he gave up 7 singles last night, but at least 4-5 of them were cheap.
Ian Kennedy and Tyson Ross looked great to me, so I was impressed we beat them. Parmalee and Plouffe hit homeruns that were hit as hard as you can hit a ball...just about have to hit it that hard to get it out of Petco.
Now it's on to beautiful AT&T Park and a team that can actually hit the ball I like Gibson and Deduno's chances because I don't think the Giants have seen either of them ever. Let's see if Nolasco can get it going.
I got us to 2-0...is 5-0 too much to ask for?

Not sure, but Detroit getting swept and then losing today is making things even better for Twins fans. Maybe we'll make it interesting for a while.

Lol okay can me and Cam guy :) I believe they said on the television since Gibson is facing Lincecum he's facing like his 6 former cy young pitcher this year lol tough draw for the kid. Boy I tell you the guy I'm having fun watch is Parmelee and I never been big on him but you can just tell that he knows this is his last chance and it's fun to see him just give it everything he's got.
Btw we need to get Suzuki and dozier in to the all star game ;)

Mauer and Dozier are locks for the All-Star game. Mauer's like the Twins designated guy since the AS game's in Minnesota. That and he has a big name. Dozier's playing like the best 2B in baseball.

Cam, Cam, Cam...Mauer is a lock for the all-star team? Take a look at the current stats for AL first basemen.
http://espn.go.com/mlb/stats/batting/_/position/1b/league/al/sort/OPS
It would be a travesty if he made the all-star team. It's difficult to make the argument that he is even a top ten first baseman in the AL, much less an all-star. His stats are pathetic...one of the few guys in the league with a higher OBP than slugging average. The day Mauer agreed to move to first is the last day he ever had a chance of being an all-star. Mauer was a productive hitting catcher, but he's bottom of the barrel as a first baseman.
I'm curious to see how the Giants position their outfielders tonight. The Padres' shift was absurd. The right fielder was ten feet off the line, and the CF was playing where the RF normally would play against a LHB. I think this shift will take at least 20 hits away from Joe this year unless he learns to pull the ball, and those 20 hits are over 30 points in BA. I don't know if you guys noticed, but Joe really looked like he was trying to pull the ball in SD. I hope he can adjust.
I see Dozier and Perkins as all-stars, with Suzuki and Hughes having an outside chance. Perkins is a hometown boy in the host city and leading the league in saves. I think he makes it. Suzuki is just a hair behind Yan Gomes in OPS, so he really deserves to be selected if he can hold up.
Okay...leaving the hotel to go see AT&T park for the first time.

... I know all of this. But he is still the face of this franchise and the All-Star game is in Minnesota. You don't think he'll be there? I do, if for no other reason than his last name is Mauer.
