KC vs MIN

Post by Camden [enjin:6601484] »

Gibson got his second win of the season in Game 1 of this series. Pitched just over 6 innings and only allowed 1 ER. 1.59 ERA on the year. Twins blew it up in the 4th with five runs. Plouffe, Colabello, Suzuki continue to be big time. Pinto hit a yacker as well. Final score: 10-1.

Game 2 of this series was even better. Nolasco finally looked like the pitcher I thought we were getting when we signed him. 8 IP, 1 ER. That's what we need more of. Mauer got his first HR of the year, finally. Dozier continues to swing a boom stick for a 2B; 4th homer of the year.

Hopefully we bring out the brooms tomorrow and sweep the Royals. Make up for that ugly series in Oakland and get back to .500 baseball, which is my goal for the season.

Game 3: Going for the sweep. Pitching battle right now between Correia and Vargas. Twins need to get the bats going!

Florimon's time is running out. Guy just can't hit and I haven't liked his approach to start the year. We just acquired Nunez from New York. It won't be long until he's our everyday SS this year with Santana hopefully taking over next year.

I'm not liking the Joe Mauer I'm seeing this year.

Just tuned in cuz my game went extra innings, but yeah. He got an unhittable pitch on 3-1, but there were two other fastballs he has to do something with. Let's see if Hermann can pick him up.

LOL, we'll take it! Now let's see if Perk has got his velocity back.

Two punchouts to open the inning. That's the Perkins I'm used to. First pitch strikes are part of a winning formula. 3 games with KC, 3 wins. Like to see that!

Very true! Gibson, Nolasco and Correia were all very good. Hopefully that rubs off on Pelfrey and Hughes lol. :thumb:
