I am not sure how he spun it to ownership. I think this was a great move to get back the picks, but we moved down a lot in draft capital from early 2nd to late 3rd. I am fine with him and Zimmer leading a rebuild. They did pretty well the first time, but I would love to see them land a QB this time.

Ponder, Bradford, Kirk. I don't count Teddy because of the freak injury but what about Spielman's history says he would land the right QB? He's frankly terrible at evaluating the position and should be kept as far away as possible from making that decision.

This was likely a win now move when they made it. Theoretically the worst case reasonable scenario was exactly what happened. They let him walk they get a 3rd round comp pick but have a good DE for a year. It didn't work they made the move now to get a pick back because now they can save the cap space and not have to pay him the rest of the year. It wasn't a good move but they didn't conpound it by waiting. Let's see what the young DEs show the rest of the year. Wonnum has already flashed some promise.

I bought Yannik was the obvious guy to trade. Will their be anyone else? Harris? Reiff? Iloka just blew out his knee in practice and while he wasn't good it would still be tough to not have Harris if they dealt him away. Reiff since he has a lower cap number and a team only has to pay him for part of the year maybe someone will nite and the Vikings can save some more cap space. If Cleveland isn't ready to play LT they could always just play Hill there until Reiff is ready...maybe a team is desparate for a tackle, doesn't have cap space and gives up 5th round pick or something for Hill.

Spielman is a flat out failure. Don't trade for a guy as a rental. Nobody thought the Vikes were contenders this season did they? I was stupid and I thought 9-7.
