Aaron Hicks WOW!

Aaron Hicks just showed off the ole cannon tonight. Vernon Wells hit a deep fly to center and it got past him to the wall and skipped away. Wells decided to push it for a triple and Hicks casually picked up the ball and fired it to third. Now, realize Hicks was about a foot or two away from the warning track in deep center. Threw the ball to third ON THE FLY to hose Wells at third. No bounce. Looked like it could have gone even further. My goodness.

Couldn't believe my eyes when I watched it last night. Seemed almost effortless by Hicks. I was watching the Yankee feed of the game, and they must have replayed it 5 times...announcer said it was the greatest outfield throw he had ever seen. It will be a travesty if Hicks doesn't get a gold glove this year...circus catches, phenomenal assists, and the only regular center fielder without and error. What a joy to watch in the midst of another lost season.
