At the end of the day the offense can't have bad halves if they want to do anything against good teams. That's a 1-10 team that had a lead going into halftime and Kirk starts the second half off with a pick 6. Against a good team the game is probably just over at that point. We've still got Tampa and NO left on the schedule and Arizona gets the Giants, Eagles and 49ers with a rematch against the Rams. We're gonna have to steal one because I don't think 8-8 is gonna be enough this year.

The Giants beat Seattle today so that's not exactly a gimmie game. Their D is pretty good.

Not quite just a game behind the Cardinals. I'm certainly not optimistic though.

I think we end up going 1-2 the rest of the way. Losing to Saints and Bears, but beating the Lions.

The defense has zero talent but has kept us in games. That has been interesting. .

Somewhere I saw we have approximately 17% chance to make the playoffs.

You cannot fight the destiny that is Kirk Cousins teams regressing to 7-9. 9-7, 8-7-1, 7-9 in Washington. 8-7-1, 10-5 here so far and in the year he needed to be relied on most we most likely see 7-9, 8-8 again.

This team's performance is not Kirk's fault. When we signed him we knew he was not a QB that could single-handedly push/pull a team into the playoffs. He didn't do it in Washington. So why would we think he would take bad teams here and lead them to the playoffs?

The idea was we had a good team and he would upgrade the QB position from C+ to B+ and that would be enough to make get us to NFC championship.

The defense and special teams have definitely been poor this season. Cousins has been fairly solid after his poor start. I could see this team having 9-10 wins already with a healthy Hunter and an avg special teams.

Cousins isn't the problem, but he also could be upgraded to at some point if we can.

Kahns thought on Cousins isn't so much whether or not he is good enough it's more about is he good enough for what he is getting paid and therefore being able to put the team around him. This season Cousins is getting paid 21 million. That's not an outlandish number now that he has righted the ship and is playing quite well. The question going forward is...will Cousins cost go up and keep the team from being able to keep pieces to keep the team doing well?

Let's compare to Tom Brady One of the GOATs and signed a 2 year 50 million deal with Tampa with an additional chunk of incentives. If Cousins wants to win why not do a restructure to keep his number under 25 million and then have incentives built in so if he and/or the team play well he gets paid. Brady Gets bonuses for NFC Championship super bowl and Super Bowl win. If the Bucs won the Super Bowl Brady will get paid an extra 5 million for that success. Brady doesn't really need the money but in a different way Kirk doesn't really need it either. Does he still have that conversion van? Lol
