The more I hear about this it sounds like a good move. It sounds like Giants are going with bigger OL to make the most of Barkley. Brett Jones fits what we do. I think he fit great as backup center and starter until Elfein gets back. He sounds like he might be an upgrade from Easton. I wonder if they would think of moving Elfein to LG. He only played center a year in college.

Getting an NFL player for a 7th round pick is always a good deal IMO. Hopefully this ends up stabilizing the line a bit.

Agreed. I am curious who gets cut from this group. It is going to be very interesting. Edison and Andrews are likely gone now.

PA said Isidora taking reps as the backup center behind Jones. He thinks that they are still looking for LG since they are not happy with Collins and Coleman.

People are overthinking themselves. No way Edison doesn't make the roster. Isidora getting snaps at C either means they are keeping him and want him to be as versatile as possible or they are seeing if that's another reason to keep him around. That's a bad sign for Andrews either he isn't healthy or won't make the roster. I'm usually optimistic about injuries but no way Elf is gonna be ready to play even as a reserve a little over a week from now. Edison is a lock to be around to at least be a backup at C and there is a chance he even starts week 1. Dude has been holding up against first team guys all preseason and he isn't gping to make the roster? Right

You might be right, but if Elfein comes off injured, but is not ready to start I bet Jones gets the start and Edison doesn't make the team. I will be very curious what happens to the guys we cut. Will they end up on other rosters?

Isadora to start at center. That worries me a little, but if he is good could Elfein move off the ball and back to guard when he is healthy.

This Isadora at center thing is quite the development...It would feel better if they tried it earlier. My guess is that when Elf comes back he will slot right into the starting C job and everything else stays the same. Isadora jumping into the starting lineup at C after a few days of work at the position is another reason why this team just continues to be interesting.

I agree what Elfein will start at center when he comes back. I just wonder if longterm if Isadora does a good job at center we have our left guard in Elfein. If O'Neill develops and Elfein continues to improve we have a great young left side of the line in place. I really think Isadora must have impressed Zim there. Starting at center and cutting Edison. It is crazy he is starting instead of Jones there too.

Today Cousins said Jones was the center at walk though... I guess we will see what happens.
