Re: QB Shuffle
I heard that the Vikes were hoping Justin Fields fell to them at 14. At least we dodged that bullet. Fields is too inconsistent, his delivery is too long. I couldn't be happier Chicago got em. lol

I didn't dive into these QBs much but my brother who at this point seems to have been right on some QBs drafted in the last couple years said he couldn't believe teams took Trey Lance over Fields. If one of those top QBs fell to the Vikings I would not have minded if they took him especially since they ended up using a reasonably valuable pick on a QB later.
I just watched a few highlights of Fields. My takeaway was he made everything look very easy. He seemed very comfortable with everything he was doing. It's highlights but it did look good.
Has anyone watched any of former NFL QB JT O'Sullivan's QB breakdowns? Idk if they are super amazing but it's fun to see his breakdowns of the plays that are run what is likely supposed to be happening and what the QB could or should be doing.

Re: QB Shuffle
Still looking for it. I found the video where he used Chris Simms ranking on April 1st.
Re: QB Shuffle
Here are all 4 JT O'Sullivan Kellen Mond Videos.

https://youtu.be/rvINTsRsm_
I was watching some more information on Mond including Simms takes and I finally went back and looked at Rodgers mechanics in college since people said it was similar. Absolutely. Also Mond does really fling it and release the ball quickly. He seems really well spoken. He is athletic but he is a QB but a guy that happens to play QB and runs around. I think I read there was only like 3-4 offensive players drafted from his 4 years at A&M which I suppose you could fault him for since he was the QB but generally he wasn't playing with a lot of talent compared to other guys. I'm not sure if it's accurate but a YouTube commenter said the receiving corps was absolutely decimated by injuries this year some of it was even before the season started and he still had the best season of his career.
A numbers based article:
https://www.nbcsports.com/edge/article/qb-klassroom/quantifying-quarterbacks-kellen-mond
I'd be curious about his pressure rates from each year of his college career and how that compares to other QBs. He had taken around 30 sacks before 2020 when he took just 7. The article said his pressure rate was like 22.5 percent which is quite a bit higher than Lance or Wilson and Slightly higher than Fields. Just to compare it seems like that's somewhat middle of the road rate if it would have been in the NFL. Cousins faced a 30% pressure rate which was one of the highest ones. Rodger faced a pressure rate of 14% which was one of the best...but Aaron is like get me the hell out of GB!!! lol

Re: QB Shuffle
Thanks! I will be curious how Mond develops he certainly brings potential. It sounds like Fields had a great rookie camp and people are thinking he will be the week one starter. That would be very impressive with Dalton and Foles on the team in my opinion.
I still would love to see an Aaron Rodgers for Russell Wilson trade. I think that would be interesting how each team would do.

Teams QB Ranking at PFF
https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-quarterback-rankings-all-32-starters-ahead-of-the-2021-nfl-season
They have Cousins at #14. I would rank him as high as #9 which would be replacing Matt Ryan
in that spot.

Baker Mayfield that "high" is a bit of a head scratcher. It seems like Herbert in his rookie year showed more than Baker ever has. If This new oline the Vikings has assembled is averag-ish it will be interesting to see how Cousins does...oh and will Klint Kubiak do well as an OC. For some QBs a good OC is the difference between being a starting NFL QB and pro bowl type performances. Cousins is a guy that needs some help from an OC. There isn't any shame in that but coaching matters.
