Re: TOP 3 Draft need Positions?
Threads like this are fun, but it needs to be remembered, no one knows what is going on with the cap. It could stay $198. It could drop to $178. HSmith is certainly gone if that happens. That changes things.
The good news is about half the teams are in serious trouble if the cap drops, so I DON'T THINK it will. But is could. And then a lot of good players will be UFA's. And then a lot of good players can pick where they want to go...or The Jets could get good in a hurry.

Got to draft Trask if he's there when we pick. The dude has a cannon, is accurate, can run and has tremendous size.
I got a feeling he's going to fly up draft boards though. He has been projected to be a late 1st/early second.
Spielman is an idiot so he won't though.

And we know Spielmann is an idiot because he runs around telling people that Ted Turner is a cannibal and Bill Gates stole Windows and is using it to sterilize the human race, right? Please. That guy has forgotten more than you've learned, you piece of garbage.

Spielman is a moron and so are you. Did you watch the Ted Turner video? He said people are going to be cannibals because of global warming in a few years. That's what he said! Bill Gates could certainly be sterilizing Africans. Do you have proof he isn't? Only a true idiot under estimates his enemy.
Spielman traded a 1st round pick for Bradford. That's all you need to know to know he is a moron.

Only 3?
1. DL
2. LT
3. S
4. LB
5. QB of future
This team has so many needs you have to go the best player available. I am comfortable to continue moving forward with Speilman. I am not as sure about Zimmer. The co-defense coordinator thing was a joke. Special teams are a mess. Kubiak is past his prime. I think we should roll the dice on a younger group.

For every win Spielman has numerous busts. Credit Jefferson sure, but then what about Ponder. Then giving Cousins a ridiculous extension. I like Cousins but I would not hamstring the rest of the roster to keep him!
The continual deficient OLine for the last decade. That's just inexcusable. Then of course going all in on Bradford who never won more then 8 games in his life. That was the last straw for me to know the guy is a moron. Worse then that Jason poster above, well maybe not quite! lol

I disagree on the Cousins contract. It is not like he was the only team offering him a contract. We had a need at QB and he took a shot. You could say the same with Bradford. The guy was excellent when he played here and at the time they felt like this was an SB contending roster. They seem at least somewhat defensible. As far as drafting if you hit on near 50% you are doing well. I think people learn on the job and he has shown improvement over time. Letting him go we might be starting all over.

Bradford was terrible though. He was the worst QB who had so many starts over the previous 6 years in the entire league. Int's, fumbles, losses, poor QB rating. Never made the playoffs, never a winning record.
The Eagles drafted Wentz for a reason. They were dumping Bradford. If Spielman held on a bit longer he could have at least got him for a 2nd rounder. I would have given him a pass for that. I still wouldn't have done it myself. I was pissed off when he did it, then a year later we have Mahomes and Watson drafted around where we could have been if we just rode out our backups. I tell you what I'd rather have Mahomes or Watson now then renting Bradford. I wanted Watson myself.

Look how Wentz turned out. Was a 1st too much? Maybe, but he was the best option at the time. When trading for him I am sure they planned to make the playoffs and have a very late 1st round pick,

Re: TOP 3 Draft need Positions?
I'm more interested in what Spielman has done the last 2-3 years than what he did in a trade what 4 years ago?
As for the Cousins deal what was the other options at that time? Should we have kept Teddy? Bradford? Keenum? Signed some other FA? Cousins has cost the Vikings 74 million in cap space these 3 years. That's not outlandish. Some of that money they didn't pay him might be piling up on the next 2 years of cap space but I'm willing to hope those numbers might get lowered somewhat...I can't help being an optimist. Lol
Something to think about. The Vikings had 3 starters from last year's defense play in the Bears game. Everyone knew there was likely to be some turnover on that end but with letting guys go, injuries and Pierce their FA signing opting out...that's a lot.
