Agreed. Floyd was very good and it shows how luck factors in.

I like Xavier Woods and I think he realizes this is make or break it for him. He has the talent and has shown the ability. He has the chance to be a stud here. Hopefully we had some good insight into why he was not brought back by Cowboys. I will be curious how Diggs develops with them.

I think the keys to this team are OL play and injuries. I really hope Smith from Iowa wins the 3rd WR job.

Zimmer said nice things about the guys vying for that other WR job and even specifically mentioned KJ Osborn had done some good things in camp. Osborn was such a disappointment as a returner last year it's easy to forget him as a possible receiver. Personally I think the Vikings have a nice group of players going for the other receiver spots and I'm not that worries about that spot. Will Klint Kubiac utilize 3 Wrs a little more often? Hard to say with the TEs they have on the roster. If some of the young guys step up (various intriguing options) and make the team that could keep the 3rd WR to just a few situational snaps. Blocking as a WR might be pretty important. I'm looking forward to a few years from now they bring back Treadwell as a special receiver assistant to teach blocking techniques.

I am just not excited about any of those guys. I want a third guy that has the ability to develop into a replacement for Thelin and Smith seems to be that guy to me.

I wonder if Weatherly has much money on his deal if he is cut.

Weatherly has $500,000 signing bonus guaranteed that's it. Still if he is cut they would only be saving 2 million minus the salary of a cheap player. He is probably gonna have to suck or a lot of guys really ball out to get cut.

I like ISM and he played for a team in college that ran the ball so he probably knows how to block which is important to the Vikings. Hopefully he learned his lesson from his DUI and also ends up being a gem of a pick.

I was thinking if they brought in another vet and thought he could start. Why pay Weatherly with all the young guys?

Let's see if they can get someone actually signed. Odenigbo got 1 million guaranteed from NY so...yeah Weatherly could get cut. I think it's generally unlikely but yes it's an option. I also think adding Richardson that improves the pass rush on the snaps he plays. They didn't have a DT anywhere near his level in that regard last year so that's a pretty big upgrade and would help the edges some too.

I looked and options don't look great for DE's. Vic Beasley? Some interesting guys like Tria Turner - G. Golden Tate - WR, and Kwon Alexander - LB

Kwon would be a good depth.

Laquon Treadwell is available!

I looked at a FA list and there are some names out there still but idk if they can still play or not and I don't care enough right now to look them up etc. Nick Easton is just one of a few former Vikings Olineman still looking for a job.

Does it surprise you we have not picked up another vet OL? Can we assume that our rookies are looking that good?

After the draft? No. The reality is at this point there will likely be Brett Jones types available at any time even into the season so unless they have an injury they will probably roll with what they have. Adding the guy from the Cards was basically a young vet FA pickup. Hill is a solid vet tackle so they probably aren't going to sign a guy at that spot. Some Oline FA are probably gonna wait for a good landing spot...possibly after an injury.
