The other GB WRs other than Adams haven't done much but I get the sense they believe more in Lazard. The guys I'm looking at dropping To pick him up are Cole Beasley or Perine the Rookie RB for the Jets.

I would rather have Beasley just because he is super consistent assuming you are in some variation of a PPR league. I think it is a toss up on Perine vs Lazard. It all matters on where you are weak at. Lazard has more flex play upside but Perine plays a position where there is less depth. So I would make sure you are good at RB depth before dropping Perine because you might need him in a week or 2.

I didn't realize GB played last night so idk if I'll be able to get Lazard now if I want him. I should have said I am not in a PPR league. It's an ESPN league 1 point for every 10 yards. Beasley is a pretty solid value guy he gets a decent chunk of points every week consistency is nice. I could use another WR assuming Chubb and McCaffrey come back healthy and productive. I also have James Robinson. My 2 top WRS are Thielen and Diggs.

Mark Andrews was supposed to be a top TE but has been disappointing lately. I picked up Jared Cook on bye and now he seems like the better option. That Ravens offense hasn't been as good. I guess I'll keep both guys for now it's probably a good problem to have at TE where the production level especially in terms of consistency drops off a cliff.

I'm 2 wins away from a championship. I have a couple questions if anyone wants to chime in on what they would do.

My QB is Russell Wilson and he has been underwhelming. I'm thinking of putting in a Waiver claim for Jalen Hurts as he is playing Dallas and he has been running the ball. Wilson plays the Rams D. It's kinda weird to think of letting Wilson go and maybe play the match up game these last 2 weeks but it also feels like sticking with him right now isn't the smartest thing to do.

Meanwhile I have 2 options of defenses for this week. Rams against Wilson and Washington against Panthers. If McCaffery plays then that makes the Panthers Washington matchup a little less appealing. Meanwhile I have McCaffery on my team it would be nice to have him available for this game and it also means my opponent won't have Mike Davis available. Lol

Edit: I made the move and added Hurts and dropped Wilson. We can only have one QB on a roster at a time. It's not looking good for McCaffrey to play this week.

I guess I never reported back that I won the championship last year and won the trophy. It seems to be a bit of a Madden type situation as nobody with their name on the prizes diamond studded football is still employed in our dept. So I am not only trying to repeat but I'm trying to stick with the job. Lol our league will be smaller and I think more people will be keeping up with their teams this year.

Anyone have any fantasy thoughts/pointers for this season? My league isn't a keeper league so a lot of strategy can change based on where I end up picking.

I've done a number of mock drafts and receivers feels a bit deeper this year than normal. A guy like Adam Thielen isn't going 3rd round, for instance.

My thoughts (not knowing whether you're in PPR):
-Top 4 picks in almost any draft this year will be McCaffrey, Cook, Henry, and Kamara, 5th-7th (in my mind) are probably Adams, Kelce, and Hill, then back to the RBs.
-I want no part of Ezekiel Elliot at his ADP this year. I'll admit I'm a bit gunshy after last season when his season shut down at the same time as Prescott's (for all intensive purposes), but his coach is Mike McCarthy who is known for not using his RBs and they're talking about splitting the carries more this year. Guy is top 6 in ADP in name only in my book.
-There's 7-8 stud QBs this year: Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Allen, Murray, Herbert, Rodgers, Wilson, and Prescott (though I hear he may be playing at less than full strength all year). Even the 9th best QB (Brady) is all around very good for FF. Tannehill you could even sell me on since he's got a good OL and stud receivers. My point here is that unless you're convinced that someone like Lamar Jackson is going to go gangbusters (like he did 2 years ago), I probably wouldn't bother drafting one until round 5-6 unless for whatever reason there's an early big time run on them. Additionally, you could late draft and stash a rookie runner qb such as Fields and figure he'll take over week 3-5 and probably run a lot, giving a safe floor backup.

-Some deep sleepers you could keep your eye on:
1. Mecole Hardman (supposedly looks a lot sharper this year and takes over the #2 receiver spot in the top passing offense in the NFL)
2. Dan Arnold (dude is a super-sleeper, but they are crushing on him in Panther land as Greg Olson 2.0)

I'm not in a PPR league but this was helpful stuff. Last year I got the #1 pick and got McCaffrey so that was fun. Lol Hardman probably won't be a sleeper I'm sure there is at least one Chiefs fan plus there are some other people that are fans of teams in that division so he might get drafted higher than he should.

I'll probably take your advice on QBs I actually didn't pick one last year until I got Wilson pretty late after someone grabbed Murray (who was the guy I wanted) a couple picks before me. In the league I am in they have it set up a bit easier for beginners so you pick a team QB so whoever throws the ball for that team you get their points. It makes picking a QB team with depth at the position have slightly more value. I actually ended up last season with Hurts (Eagles) as my QB. We can only play 1 QB at a time and our bench spots were pretty limited so I think there will be lots of QB options available to pick up. I actually hope I don't pick first again. Lol

So I ended up with Rodgers as my QB he was just sitting there in the 2nd round and if felt like at that spot it was worth getting him.

Hardman is still available in my league but not sure what WR I would drop to pick him up. I have Ridley, DJ Moore, Jamarr Chase and Sutton. I went heavier on RBs and I actually picked up Gus Johnson this morning. I was going to pick up a TE with Irv Smith hurt but I'll pick up a TE (have none right now) closer to the season starts. I missed out on the worthwhile TEs so I basically waited till the last couple picks to get one. If anyone has a sleeper TE pick I'm all ears! If OJ Howard gets healthy I would be interested. At this point Jared Cook might be the most exciting option week 1.

Overall I'm pretty happy with my team except the TE situation. I didn't know till after the draft they switched so we can have more than one QB so I might have done something there especially with Herbert going REALLY late but oh well. Should be a fun season.

Rodgers in the second round is way to early. He should've still been around in the 5th or 6th round.

Eh I'm pretty happy with my team. If I would have known Herbert was going to last so long (13th round) I would have waited. I felt like at the time I was picking the position players weren't so good that it was worth picking them over a QB like Rodgers who I do think will have another good season (maybe not as good as last year) and is typically very consistent in how he performs week to week.

Also I dropped Chase like the balls he has been dropping in preseason and picked up Jared Cook at TE. Hopefully Father Time hasn't caught up to Cook and he gets a lot of the same targets Hunter Henry got last year.

Someone dropped Julio Jones to pick up Hardmen.
