I was hoping we would lose this game. This season is not worth it for us to make the playoffs.

It's always worth winning games.

I think comparing the two right now Cousins is better. If Teddy never got hurt maybe he's much better. That was a killer injury. The dope trades a 1st rounder for Bradford (might have netted us Mahomes or Watson) who the Eagles wanted to dump, though they were saying they would start him that season over Wentz, which they might have for a few games.

Cousins started the year off poorly but he's come around. I'm not as in a hurry to find a replacement as I was.

They are very different QBs.

Cousins is a guy that will launch the ball downfield. I'm guessing Cousins still leads the league in yards per completion etc. Norv Turner would have loved him. Lol Cousins also isn't the greatest at making plays in the pocket gets a little jumpy. Right now he is looking more comfortable though as his line has actually been solid the last few weeks but I think all of knows it was unlikely Cousins was gonna look bad all season.

Teddy doesn't always push the ball down the field. He has the ability to extend plays has a good feel of the pocket and can make a oline look better than they are. He is very accurate on shorter throws. Teddy makes for a very good game manager. He struggles to really hurt you on big plays.

It looked like there for a while Teddy would be better here but he has struggled the last few weeks but if I remember right he has plays a tough schedule. The last 4 weeks it felt like Cousins if he was given any kind of reasonable time could win the game through passing the ball...which he has done especially this last game with help from the WRs. It was a little more impressive to do it with Thielen watching the game yelling at his TV than on the field. Jefferson is a stud though. I haven't watched all the guys but this WR class does look to be really epic.

Got to almost feel bad for Teddy a bit. His injury was a killer. But he came back. Then of course the shanked 27 harder or whatever which would have won the playoff game (Walsh wide left). Then yesterday he made a pretty miraculous 45 second comeback only to have the kicker let him down again. (though it was 56 yards this time).

I thought Teddy played really well here given how poor the Line was, like you said he made accurate throws and plays when needed. I always remember, run on 1st for a yard, run on 2nd for a yard. 3rd and 8, don't worry we got Teddy. He was put in that position over and over and over........

He missed some wide open deep passes and overall it was one of his worst completion percentage performances of the year. It wasn't like the Vikings pass rush was exactly dynamic either. It was similar to some of his performances for the Saints last year...not exactly inspiring and that offense had a lot of talent around him. I'm not sure we know what kind of defense the Vikings isle isn't so I'm not sure how to gauge. Yes ai do feel a little bad for Teddy but he did land a starting spot for a decent chunk of money in Carolina so something is going right for him. I think he fits really well with McCaffrey...I mean everyone should but yeah. Lol

Did you see Teddy's comments about the play calling late in that game?

No I didn't. I know the announcers were like, why don't you run the ball in the 4th quarter at all? haha

I like Teddy (have his jersey), but he was never a good deep ball passer. He didn't have the arm strength or the deep ball accuracy. He had good accuracy in the short and mid range passes. He was overall disappointing to me as a Vikings fan. There were so many plays where I could just tell he was waiting for the checkdown (and he would). I think game manager is a perfect description of him. He won't win you a game you're not supposed to win, and he won't put up big numbers, but he'll move the chains and help you play field position. We would have had to upgrade from him even if he never got injured, despite Zimmer's love for him.

The Bradford trade looked good at first as we started off the season hot to 5-0 or something, but the wheels came off the bus. Then Bradford was injured. I think it was all a reaction to us opening US Bank and not wanting a rudderless team. I remember wanting us to get a backup long before that and I think Foles was available coming off the Rams mess.

This makes me think. What QB retreads have ultimately won it all? QB's who have been dumped by at least 2 teams then goes onto win a SB?

Brad Johnson, Kurt Warner, Jim Plunkett and Doug Williams.

That was from a quick search, not sure if I missed any. Anyways I guess the point is NEVER go for a double retread, it is very rare it works out and the other teams are dumping them for a reason.

idk 4 Double retread QBs in my lifetime seems like a pretty good rate to me lol
