White Sox general manager Rick Hahn says Eloy Jiménez suffered a rupture of his left pectoral tendon. He needs surgery, and Hahn says the recovery timeline is typically 5-6 months.
That is a massive blow to a White Sox team that looked poised to make some noise this season.

Woofta thats a big blow. Good thing the gave a closer 14 million instead of Springer 25mil when they had nothing but corner outfield problems last year. MORONS!

Yeah, the best free agent outfielder is probably Josh Reddick and that's a far cry from Eloy Jiménez. George Springer on that team would have been a problem.

Huge blow for the Sox and for baseball. Great player, and he was having a nice spring. The White Sox scare me now that they seem to have built a solid top to bottom bullpen to go along with their terrific starting pitching and lineup. They scare me a little less today with light-hitting Leury Garcia taking over in LF.
