It is starting to get nice out. It is starting to feel like spring even here in MN.

The Twins have a number of interesting players in the minors. What's more interesting is they have a 40 man roster spot open so they have options of adding to their team various ways. They can likely open up another spot when they can put Rich Hill on the 60 day disabled list.

It is interesting. I feel like we have depth at every position in the minors that could come up and help. If this team falters I will be shocked. The hardest player for this team to replace would be Polanco in my opinion.

They usually are. I did like this one.

Two things stood out from the prospects today:

1. Brent Rooker's double off the wall...not the sight of it, but the sound. BANG, like a firecracker. That's the sound of a focused kinetic chain transferring max energy to that poor little baseball. That last bit of uncoiling wrist action is how Eddie Rosario gets his shocking power from an easy swing. Rooker is going to be a good power hitter in the majors.

2. Edwar Colina's 100 mph fastball. Not the speed, but the smooth motion. Like Rooker's swing, Colina's heater is the result of a focused kinetic chain, in this case throwing a baseball with demon speed, yet not apparently a herculean effort. Colina's command was not as impressive, but he's certainly got the arm talent to cause some trouble for hitters.

Royce Lewis knocks a HR off Zack Wheeler to tie the game in top of 3rd at 1-1. Poppen is struggling on the mound early. I am ready to go back to the hotel. There is no wind and I am cooking.

Are you working from a recipe or are you winging it?
