Maybe we should ask them what they want for Chris Sale.
They can go eat two dicks. It's not our fault there inexpierence gm didnt google for 3 mins to realize Graterol is a Reliever. Id say you can have Lewis but give us Sale and we get Maeda and you eat 70% of Sale contract. I've never seen a team do this before. There totaly using Brusdar medical records as escape goat because media panned the return they were getting for mookie betts.
I'd the trade doesn't happen the Red Sox look like real dumbasses. I like the deal but if it doesn't go through I'm ok with it. I think the Twins can pretty easily salvage this if it doesn't happen. Like I said before throw in another decent prospect and if that's not good enough I guess the deal doesn't happen. No way the Twins are giving up another top prospect on top of this.
LaVelle said today his sources say the Twins don't expect to be a part of the deal. Graterol was throwing a bull pen session in Ft Meyers. MLB Tony Clark said this thing needs to be resolved soon.
The trade was finalized Sunday with the Los Angeles Dodgers sending veteran starter Maeda to Minnesota with 21-year-old reliever Brusdar Graterol going to the West Coast.
The Dodgers will include $10 million in the trade, a major league source confirmed, and get the Twins' Compensation B (67th overall) pick in 2020 and Class AAA outfielder Luke Raley; the Twins also will get a prospect from Los Angeles.

I am torn. I feel like we paid more for Maeda. I am not an expert and don't know how much value is in the pick. It seems like it would be of good value. $10M in cash is a nice thing. I wonder if that is going to be used for a future deal this year on an ACE.

Yuck.
It was. He is damaged goods, but we still want him. We just want him and another player.
WTF
How did they not know he was "damaged" goods? The Twins went public, indicating he was a bullpen guy. It was just a loophole they used to get out of a deal being ripped by the fanbase.... a fanbase who's still angry over losing Betts for more billions to the billionaire... but just the same

They probably just had faith that we would allow them to rip us off. We obviously didn't build that trust in them here by offering something that was of fair value.
