All bad, specifically mentally. These guys should be more aware of the situation. Colome gets the leadoff guy in the ninth to fly out. Then he hits Wong with two strikes to put a runner on. Then Hiura hits a dribbler back to Colome and he decides to throw to second instead of getting the sure out at first. With a three run lead, that lead runner doesn't matter. Get the out. Should have had two outs with a runner on second with a three run lead intact. Easy day. You probably win those games 99-percent of the time. Instead, it's two on and one out. Yelich hits a fly ball to deep right and Kepler can't make the play. It's a tough play, but the ball hit his glove and popped out. Gotta have that. The Twins blew it and I gotta hang this loss squarely on Colome. He's a veteran and should know better. On to the next one.

Drew Butera was 6-138 one year with the twins at one point to start off a year.

If you got all the bp like he got and same coaching instruction in your prime do you think you get 6 hits. You face the same pitchers so not Verlander every night and you don't have to worry about defense just hitting.

Cause I think I could've done it we're having argument at the bar right now about it.

I had D-II interest at Florida Southern before getting injured my senior year. That's where my baseball career died. And yes, I would do much better than 6-138. I could probably use half of those AB's bunting and get more than six hits.

Very cool I was pitcher. I played at Doane college which was NAIA powerhouse in Nebraska then played at Augsburg.

The best school to recruit me was Minnesota state but there pitching coach said I would redshirt and I wouldn't be a option till my senior year.

Best story I have is I pitched in front the notes dame pitching coach at tpx. I'm 6'2 225 back then :) lol but I have what you call a roger Clemens ass. I got up there hit my 82-84 on the gun.

He throws his hat says god damn it son I thought I found my ace for the next 4 years with that ass and build and then you threw 82 with perfect mechanics lol. I said I'm sorry sir he said you'll make a D-2 very happy someday.

Bahaha that's fantastic. Should have told him you were just featuring your changeup for the scouts. Saving the cheddar for game day.

Jester you pitched at Doane? I didn't know you had any ties to that area. FWIW Doane has a beautiful campus.

Yes I did from 09-10 good ole Crete Nebraska. The campus is beautiful one of the main reasons I went there.

A few years ago I went there to watch my cousin play in a basketball tournament Doane was hosting. Walking through the campus I was like "This makes my school look like a dump" lol Its almost hard to believe it's even in Nebraska. Lol

It's game 1 but that was a bad loss. Buxton had a nice game at the plate. One fan pointed out that while Sano struck out he also saw a bunch of pitches which is a positive. I saw Garver's strikeouts (watched a somewhat weirdly edited extended highlight video) but how did he look at the plate?

They built that brand new field house the year after I left. Have to love a college town where the nearest McDonald's is 45 mins away.

Lol good point. Montpelier, Vermont (similar in population to Crete) Is the only state Capitol that doesn't have a McDonalds. I believe when I was a kid Pierre South Dakota didn't have one either. It's interesting how Burger King is often in some of these smaller communities first.

Donaldson to the 10-day IL. Love it. The guy is made of glass. Here's a tip. Eat meat.

1. Arraez, 3B
2. Polanco, 2B
3. Buxton, CF
4. Kepler, RF
5. Sano, 1B
6. Cave, LF
7. Jeffers, C
8. Simmons, SS
9. Berrios, SP

Interesting to see Buck in the three-hole. I think that's a ballsy decision from Rocco, but I like it. Hopefully the good guys bounce back tonight and get their first win.

Berrios has good tilt on his slider so far. Jeffers catching gear is hideous.
