There was some concern in Spring Training among some Twins fans that Tyler Duffey's velo was down. He's hitting 93-94 on the gun. That's about the norm for him. Maybe we'll see 95 here and there.

Damn, jester. Same thought here. You typed it up faster.

Good win for the boys. Let's be honest they should be 2-0 against very solid Burns and Woodruff.

I bet twins are ready to see some Schlubs on the mound. They've pretty much went against Atlanta and the Rays two of best staffs in baseball all spring and then got to see the brewers two studs and hader to start the year.

Great game and I just watched the extended highlights. It's the first game of the season I can see why they pulled Berrios after 7. What's the most pitches he had in spring training games? Obviously it would be awesome to see him finish it off though.

Buxton pleeeease stay healthy.

Man, was that fun! I wouldn't have wanted to be in the box against either of those guys tonight...of frankly against Rogers or Duffey either (I'll take my chances against a pitch-to-contact guy like Colome :) ) I hear where you guys are coming from with Rocco's move, but I was 100% with him on this one. Rocco both protects guys, and has a great understanding of the "season" rather than just one game. I didn't see Jose's reaction in the dugout, but he's a competitor, so I assume he was unhappy. But Rocco knows Jose's tendency to run out of gas in the fall, and having him throw 130 pitches (he was already at 84 after 5 innings) in April, doesn't sound like a very good plan. I also think Rocco has great confidence in his bullpen, and felt more comfortable with fresh arms in the 7th rather than a potentially tiring Berrios (yeah, he was still dealing in the 6th, but he was also starting to miss his spots a little).

Anyway, great win. Love seeing Buck batting 3rd...there's no question in my mind he's getting 162 dingers this season if he stays healthy...he's on pace ;-) . And didn't you just know Arraez was going to deliver with 2 outs? I think we all agree it's great to see him leading off and Kepler in the middle of the lineup.

To jesters' point, it gets easier now with Houser on the mound. He was terrible last season and this spring. Let's put up a few crooked numbers today and leave Milwaukee 2-1!

Berrios actually had 84 pitches through 6 innings. Here is a worthwhile stat to consider. Berrios has started 115 games in his career. He has 3 complete games. It's honestly unlikely he would have finished that game last night especially being the first game of the season.

I'm with you on Buxton's HR pace I was thinking the same thing!

Thx monster...I meant 5 innings but mistyped.

Whew, that's a dominating top 2 pitchers for the Brewers, but I'll take our #3 over theirs any day! The betting line is even today, and that's impressive on the road against a team expected to win their division. I'm excited about this team this year.

Buxton can't stay healthy that dude should become a vegetarian!!!

Sorry I couldn't help but go back and leave a comment. :) I've been a vegetarian my whole life and have eaten meat only a handful of times. I'm as healthy (or to be honest as unhealthy) has someone that eats meat. There are a lot of diet choices that can be good or bad depending on the person as everyone's body is different. I've been very fortunate to not have any major injuries in my life. I attribute that to luck and just the makeup of my body not a specific diet that I have or don't have. Trust me I've seen people get judged for eating meat and it's mostly ridiculous.
