The Twins have 36 of there 40 man roster filled.
Our guy Stephen Gonsalves, Zach Little and Lewis Thorpe were added to the 40 man.
Guy who didn't make the cut and will most likely be gone in Rule 5 I'll give percentages of what I think the percentage chance there gone
Jake Reed 100%
Kohl Stewart 90%
Lewis Diaz 35%
This is good sign that Twins left 4 spots open because that means they will be buyers at the winter meetings next month.
40 man Roster
Re: 40 man Roster
I was curious what you thought of these moves Jester. I agree I think they are going to be aggressive. Having 4 roster spots means they have plenty of options. Heck they could pick up a guy on waivers they like more than one of the guys you listed. They could select a rule 5 guy from another team although that seems a bit unlikely.
I'm curious is there a reason why they wouldn't or can't just waive Hughes to get another 40 man roster spot? I mean nobody is gonna claim him and if they did just laugh and move on without having to pay all that money right? He could come back to the team I suppose they figure it's big league roster or nothing for him?

Honestly don't have problem with any of these guys going. Diaz I'm pretty sure is 22 and still not out of Single A but he does have some power but he only had 12 home runs last year.
Reed is a older reliever that they just don't think he has the stuff for the MLB level. If they did he defiantly would've been called up last year.
Stewart is the tough one but let's face he's most likely a bust. I really wanted Kris Bryant to fall in the 2013 draft but he didn't and the Cubs go at him at #2. I just looked back at the 2013 draft and man that first round is not so great.
Best players so far
1. Kris Bryan #2 pick
2. Jon Gray #3
Now your stretching
3. Clint Frazier #5
4. Tim Anderson #17
And if you throw in the Yankees supplemental pick Judge was taken #32
But still pretty weak draft

Re: 40 man Roster
I love the three guys they added to the 40 man...all have a chance to be very good. Thanks for pointing out they have 4 open spots...they are clearly going to make some moves. I wish Kohl Stewart was half as good as he thinks he has, but he's not...somebody will take a chance on him. Good riddance.
I was a little concerned when I saw Nick Burdi was left off the 40 man. But the chances of some team taking a chance on keeping him on their major league roster for 90 days when he is coming off TJ surgery is slim. I think he is safe.

Yeah LST I was never a Stewart guy, I always felt like he liked football more than baseball but he was better at baseball. If remember he was supposed to be the air apparent to Johnny Mariel at Texas A&M.
I'm interested to see what the Twins do. From what I've heard and read the Twins are really interested in Darvish. I wonder if they take the international money to sign Ohtani and then sign Darvish. Supposedly Darvish and Ohtani are close with each other.
Darvish
Santana
Ohtani
Berrios
Battle for the 5th spot could see our guy Gonsalves win that spot.
Sounds like a good rotation to me
Re: 40 man Roster
Not a 40 man roster move but Park is going back to his old team in Korea. That makes sense. I would assume the Twins will be free of having to pay his salary the next couple seasons which is a nice bonus.

Beat me to it. I had hope for Park. Started out okay, but injuries hurt him here.
