Twins fans watching World Series Thread

Post by bleedspeed »

Adding a little place to talk about the WS. I am pulling for the Astros in this one.

Would have the Dodgers been better off this year trading for Dozier or did the prospects we want help them out? (I didn't follow things that closely)

Well they would have had to give up more than Jose De Leon (turned 25 in August) but he pitched only 38.1 innings between a few levels of Tampa's organization spending multiple stunts on the DL including I believe finishing the season there. Logan Forsythe the 2b the Dodgers got for De León was far from the impact Dozier was. There is no telling what else the Dodgers would have had to give up to get Dozier unless maybe Jester has some info in that. It's been a while but it seems like (from the reports I read) a deal never really got that close.

I'm pulling for Houston also. I said during one of those 100 loss seasons they were going to end up being pretty good in a few years. They did a lot of the right things to build their team. One of my best friends from college is a big Dodgers fan so I will be very happy for him if they win. I'm hoping it's a good series.

I will be rooting for the Dodgers because I want Kershaw to get a ring. He's the Sandy Koufax of our time and people give him way to much flack for playoff performances that are not always his fault. So I hope he gets one so he can put the choke artist in playoffs behind him.

He sure did. Jester gave me another reason to be happy if the Dodgers win one. I agree I would like to see him win one.

I really want to see this go 7. It would be great to see pair of dominant pitching performance from Justin Verlander and Kershaw in this series. Kershaw has one down and one to go.

Great for baseball. Another fall classic. MLB does bring excitement to the postseason that is for sure.

I wasn't able to see the game, but it's really fun to read the summary this morning. I'm a big Houston fan and Dodger hater, so I'm really pulling for Houston in this one.
