Had the full crew back with the Iowa team today, including Garza, Minott, Moore Jr., and Dozier back after two 10-day contracts with the Kings. The Wolves got the win, but it was pretty tight throughout.

Garza had his usual ho-hum G-League game, going for 34/18/8. He's just a monster when he plays down there. Minott was very active, getting 22 points and 8 boards mostly off transition and cuts to the basket. Moore Jr. had 18 points, but it took him 18 shots to get them.

Josh Minot feels like a really intriguing prospect. I like to think of him as our first round pick next year, since we don't have an actual pick!

That's how I'm viewing him. Minott is our 2023 first round pick and Garza is the Kessler pick we gave up. It just makes me feel better to think of it that way. :). Seriously, Garza is simply too good for the G-League. I'm a big Naz Reid fan, but in my view, having Garza and Knight on the Wolves roster opens the door to trading Naz Reid before the February deadline. I think there's a deal out there for Naz that will bring a protected first-round pick in return. Depending on the particulars, I'd be tempted to take the deal.

Garza also had a steal and 2 blocks. Garza and Minott are keepers in my view. I'm not sure about Moore. I'm not down on him, but I'm not excited about him either. Then again, he was a late bloomer in college and he's been putting up decent numbers in the G-League. Maybe he'll be a late bloomer in the NBA as well.

Tim, He is intriguing, but he is raw. His 3-point shot has completely abandoned him after some promising early games where he was hitting it. Defensively, he has a really hard time staying square on dribble drives and over-relies on his length to try to block the shot when a defender gets past him. Remember how Gorgui Dieng would always turn his hips and then whiff at the block attempt as the driver would make a layup? That's basically Minott. Just gets turned sideways way too easily when defending on the perimeter.

That being said, he is very long and very bouncy. And while his lateral quickness isn't very good, his north-south speed and first step is pretty damn impressive.

I think if he's in a pure slashing, running, rebounding, defending type role, he MIGHT be able to play some viable minutes off the bench next season as our 3rd PF behind KAT and Kyle. We'll see....

Last Iowa game Luka put in a 47 point game in a loss. He is an absolute machine down there.
