Exactly. A dictionary entry describing the pronunciation would read: mc-DEE. From what I can tell, credit goes to Tim for suggesting the name first here.
Basketball reference considers itself the go-to source for nicknames, and I'm disappointed to see they have given him the nickname "seatbelt". I don't like this one and don't plan on using it. It seems like we are going to all use our own nicknames for Jaden that emphasize his defense. My personal favorite is Jay-DEE, with a strong emphasis on the second syllable.
