Brooklyn has a nice team, so this was a really good win. Our stars were great when it counted, but Prince and SloMo kept us in the game.

We seem to play really well against good teams on the road. That's promising, because we are going to have to win some road games to advance in the playoffs. We can be dangerous if we stay healthy,

Lol. He's coming back from a serious injury and a really long layoff. When you come back this late in the season after that sort of layoff you're playing at a pre-season level while everyone else is running on all cylinders. KAT is only 27 years old. Last season he averaged over 24 points,10 rebounds, nearly 4 assists, 1 block and 1 steal per game. He had his his third highest eFG percentage in his career last season as well. His talent hasn't fallen off. That's nonsense. He's just getting his legs under him after a long layoff. As it turns out, he was critical to tonight's win, dominating in the low post down the stretch. That's was the Towns we've seen over the years.

If Ant becomes the star he can be, he'll be our #1 guy -- a two-way super star. KAT will be a great #2 in his prime the next few seasons. And Jaden will be an all-defensive stud with a very nice developing offensive game. The hysterical negativity towards Towns right now is nuts. Among other things, people start seeing negatives that aren't' there. I saw one post saying his defense keeps getting worse. In fact, his defense was pretty good last season - 22nd in the League. We finished 10 games over .500 with KAT last season even though Ant and Jaden weren't nearly as good as they've been this season. Put a healthy KAT out there a full season with the Ant and Jaden we've season this season plus Conley and Anderson and this team could be really good. Maybe it works with Rudy, maybe not. But KAT's not the problem this season and he'll be a huge positive for this team going forward if he can just get back to last season's form - which is highly likely given his age and his talent.

That's a great observation, FNG. We really are a good road team against good teams. And that does bode well for us in the playoffs. Let's win the next two and at least finish 7th or 8th.

You are right, heat of the moment overreaction. Kat was looking slow, the stem cell procedure this offseason and him looking passive got me worried with his worse offensive production his first 21 games.

I did overreact though

Ok. NOW I'm leaving Barclays

The game went as I expected. We won't see a Nets/Wolves series ever but it would go 7 games. Just very evenly matched. Like I said earlier, the games are always close.

KAT won us the game by doing what Rudy shoulda done and that's recognize that the Nets lacked size. Go over them and finish the play. Rudy didn't have an awful game but the fact that he sat the last 4 minutes sealed it because KAT went back to center KAT and overwhelmed DFS and O'Neale.

Also, Edwards stamped the game late with tough shots. Too many guys were hesitant to shoot. Brooklyn almost won because they knew the shots they wanted would be there. Dinwiddie just thought he had to take them all at the end.

McDaniels had a crappy stat sheet outside of points but his defense was exceptional. At some point when he has the hot hand, let it ride.

Conley didn't let the game slip away, which I thought was helpful. His lack of panic kept the game from spiraling.

SlowMo is our QB. He's the signal caller. They listen to him. He's necessary and we need more Kyle's on the team going forward. He gets it.

As for after the game, I ran into a friend who's very cool with Towns Sr. I hung out for a while. Seen Rudy, Naz, Kyle, Jaylen, Nate Knight, Jim Pete. Towns Sr is a great person and it's good to point that out because even though KAT is a frustrating cornball, off the floor he's not gonna do anything to make us angry compared to Ja and his situation. He woulda gave passes to people on the streets of Brooklyn if they wanted to take a pic with KAT. Met KAT, chopped it up a bit. All good.

Great read out Wildwolf, thanks for sharing your experience. Glad you got to see a win.

I guess for those of us living outside the TC, we just need to go watch the Wolves play when they roll into our town. Much better chance of winning! I was at TC over the holidays and witnessed Doncic carve up our defense for a loss. That was the beginning of a 6-game losing streak....
