Then for the afternoon hit piece Ryen Russillo does a pod and talks about the wolves. Here are the highlights.
Dlo worst player in the NBA who gets minutes
Kat is the Tall Dlo who Jarrett Allen is significantly better than
Ant should not accept the rookie max extension.

What a load of shit from the ringer this week. Wolves are missing their All NBA player for most of the season, Dlo has a month and a half of 50/40/90 ball, wolves over 500 being led by a 21 year old and wolves are 11-5 in their last 16 with a ton of great wins. The Ringer watches one fucking game where it was a sloppy but competitive game against the current 3 seed and it's fucking hit piece after hit piece

I heard the Russillo piece. It was... ummmm... amusing?

Just a silly, silly take.

It's pretty obvious they haven't been watching the Timberwolves (or Russell) much outside of OT of the 2nd Kings game. Even Cool and D-loser know that's a terribly lazy take.

Yep, silly takes on Wolves players. The problem with sports media today is that there's too much of it. And because there is too much, there's room for sophomoric idiots like Russillo to jabber on like an 11 year old on the playground who knows absolutely nothing but loves to emphatically spout whatever comes into his little mind.

I want to say, this stuff usually doesn't bother me but there is a clear agenda against the wolves from the Ringer. Last 2 Ringer articles written a month apart have both been negative (besides talking about Ant), Bill Simmons rips DLO in his one bad game in a month, Russillo calls Dlo the worst player in the NBA who gets minutes (I know Dlo is polarizing, I do back and forth a lot on him and he isn't my favorite player ever but shut up Dlo is a starting caliber PG and even the shot is falling he can win you a ton of games like tonight) and takes shots at Kat for no reason, then in the Ringer top 100 players, Ant does not move up, Rudy and Kat both move down, Dlo and Mcdaniels don't make the top 100 but Batum does????

It just triggered me this week because the loss to the kings had to be the first Q they watched of the wolves in months.

I want to say I ripped KOC early also but him and Vernon were fair on their praise and criticism of the wolves. So good job by them

What Russillo said isn't surprising at all and it reinforces what I've said about the players here. D'Lo, Rudy and KAT, it's not just their games that these guys don't like. They don't like them as people and when you have that, it makes it so these pundits don't want you to succeed at all, so of course Russillo doesn't want Ant to stay. Ant is the cute broad and D'Lo/Rudy/KAT are the loser boyfriends.

Stuff like this is why I don't really care much to listen and read various stuff like I used to. I also have much less time to listen to podcasts etc since I could listen to them for an hour or 2 while I drove for work at my previous job.

Part of the issue is a bit of what Lip touched on there is a lot of stuff. Some people who I think at one point were smart and did a nice job got a larger platform and then they had to comment and damn near everything and have a take on whatever. Take Bill Simmons for an example. The guy was fantastic writing about basketball history, making a few goofy quotes about present day and also having sort of an intelligent and still totally homer fan's perspective. Even though he has sort of his own thing he can kinda decide what he wants to do I believe the guy has a lot of takes that are really outside of his wheelhouse. He isn't stupid or whatever it's just he doesn't know all things and can comment on all things. Who can? Like Tim said it's not just sports either. Hell I'm not sure there is anyone at my job that is able to comment on all the stuff we are supposed to know. That includes my supervisor (one of the best bosses I have ever had) has been working in the department longer than some of my teammates have been alive. lol

I still spend some time watching or reading media to hopefully learn something new have a chuckle at the tales or if I'm being honest justify the position I already have. There are times where I try and seek out things that challenge my perspective on something because I'm really wanting to know whether what I think is actually accurate or not.

I want to congratulate Paul George on making the all star game. Proving to everyone part time players can still be an all star when putting up worse numbers than players that have played every game.

3 players in for the west have played under 40 games. BS

No Ant in the All-Star game. I figured that would be the case. A lot of times a player needs to show his worthiness for an entire season before making it the next year.

Poor Ant. That is too bad. Just keep winning and prove them wrong.

Man I can't wait for a changing of the guard in the talent with young NBA talent. I don't think there has been a generation of NBA talent that I've hated more than this group. The we need rest generation needs to shut the fuck up.

I wouldn't get too upset about it. Everyone knows the voting and selection is a farce (except maybe LAL and Filipino fans). Beside who watches it anyways? I certainly don't and wouldn't even if Ant had made it. Prefer him getting some well deserved rest anyways.
