3 players in for the west have played under 40 games. BS

I wouldn't get too upset about it. Everyone knows the voting and selection is a farce (except maybe LAL and Filipino fans). Beside who watches it anyways? I certainly don't and wouldn't even if Ant had made it. Prefer him getting some well deserved rest anyways.

It's not the game itself for these guys, but the recognition and buzz of being officially named an All-Star. They may also have contract clauses that reward them for being designated an all-star.

Agree though, Ant could use the rest. And hopefully come back motivated and ready to prove everyone outside of Minnesota and Kendrick Perkins wrong!

I love Kawhi's game and demeanor. I just wish he could play more games.

Wolves vs the world

Isn't Lebron chasing the scoring record? Besides OKC is a good fun young team and the matchup currently has playoff implications.

So... here's the week that was for LeBron James and the Lakers.

They lose a close game vs. Boston where James was fouled and it wasn't called. James throws a crazy fit during the game and keeps whining after the game, claiming bad calls only happen to the Lakers. The NBA posts a statement about how officials are losing sleep over the bad call vs. the beloved James and the Lakers.

Meanwhile, somebody documents every good/bad call in the NBA's "two minute report" for every team. The Lakers have the 2nd most favorable officiating record in the entire league.

Tonight in nowheresville, Indiana... the Pacers lead the Lakers by 12 entering the 4th quarter...

... the Lakers shoot 16 free throws in the 4th quarter. The Pacers shoot 0.

Pure coincidence.

There is literally zero chance the Lakers aren't making the playoffs this season. James and Davis are too good. They still have a trade to make. And most of all... it's good business.

As for James, as he nears this great scoring record, he really makes it hard to enjoy it as a fan. His sense of entitlement has always rubbed me the wrong way. This officiating whining just seems fitting.

The Lakers might not make the playoffs because there is no guarantee that Lebron and Davis are healthy enough to stay on the floor.

Kenton's hysterics after that foul stays with me. I've sort of defended him at times during his career. I'm less likely to do so now. Regardless of everything he has had a terrific career and it's not done yet. I'll be cheering for other teams to make the playoffs before them. It's not gonna be an easy road even if they stay mostly healthy.

I've toggled back and forth on LeBron throughout his career. Marveled at him during his first stint in Cleveland. Then hated him when he did his whole South Beach made for TV spiel. Then rooted for him again after he went back to Cleveland and was battling the Warriors in the Finals. Then rooted against him again once he made the decision to go to the Lakers. Now I've cemented myself in the rooting against him position, so no going back!

Pelicans have lost 10 straight. Ugh....after such a strong start. I know they are missing Zion (again!), but Ingram has been back for a few games and they still have JoVal and McCollum as well.

It's crazy to think we could be the #4 seed after tonight. But to me it doesn't really mean that much if there are 8 other teams all within a game or two of us. But being 3 games above .500 would be meaningful along with the nature in which we've been winning of late - gritty defense, making some big shots, etc.

Only 11 home games left!

They need as many of these wins as possible, making tonight a "must-have" win.

It feels like the Wolves have had too many stinkers vs. Orlando, so I'm not as confident as I probably should be.
