It was a great win, but let's not forget the humbling losses to Memphis and Denver, where we were smacked around pretty easily and very much looked like the inferior team.
But that's fine....it should be tough to win on the road and the fact we went 2-2 over that 4-game stretch of road games is a good outcome.
We just cannot afford to lose to Washington at home and have yet another letdown, as we have seen time and time again this season with this team when it feels like we have a shot of getting some real momentum. Orlando. Detroit. Charlotte....It's always one of these Eastern conference teams that seem to play against us with more energy and will to win than we do. That can't happen tomorrow!!!!

And the Wizards are playing pretty well, handling Portland easily last night. Porzingis destroyed us earlier in the season, which is also the game KAT went down.
But, yes. No more farting around. They have to win this game.

I don't remember how we matched up against them, but I would hope Kyle Anderson on Porzingis, Gobert on Gafford, and then the question is whether you have Ant or McDaniels chasing around Beal. Kuzma probably uses less screens, so I might put Ant on Kuzma since he struggles more with screens and off ball cuts than McDaniels does.

I just went and checked that boxscore... McDaniels didn't play. Rivers started in his place and DLo/Ant/Rivers combined for 2-16 on 3 pointers...

Gotcha. Yeah, it seems like a lot of our early season struggles had more to do with poor shooting than "Gasp! KAT and Gobert are a disaster together!". I mean, everyone was struggling from outside. That's two seasons in a row where we have multiple guys get off to super slow starts from outside the arc. Can we mix it up a bit next year and have may be have a couple guys start off hot and a couple guys start off cold rather than half the roster not being able to shoot the damn ball! Gah!

Yes, Washington is playing well, but most of us here probably think this is one we should win. The narrative in my head currently is that we have had letdowns this year in games like this because of a lack of leadership, and that Conley will turn that around. I hope I'm right. Otherwise I'm setting myself up for a big fall!

Not just Conley, but McLaughlin, too!
