Ha - I wasn't going to write the joke I know because in these times, everyone gets offended. But since you opened, I'll follow:

What's the first thing a woman does when she gets back from the battered women's shelter?

Answer: The got-dang laundry and dishes if she knows what's good for her (you would be shaking a closed fist while delivering the punch line).

Can we still laugh at jokes while understanding it's just a joke and the teller of said joke does not condone violence against women? IDK!
