Anthony Edwards' plan for the All-Star game: "Get in the game and shoot all the shots."

Good for Ant...he deserves it. I still wish the kid could get a few days off to heal his body, but I know he really wanted this.

He will still get some time off. The reality is that he probably wasn't gonna just go home and lay on his couch the whole AS break anyways. He would probably do some workouts etc. The experience might energize him. Plus he was a late addition so he likely still has a bit of a chip on his shoulder even though he finally made it.

Part of me is glad he gets to go enjoy the all-star game and have a national audience see him for the first time. The other part of me wishes he would hold a stance of, "Screw you, you didn't vote me in over these other injured players, who've played half to two-thirds as many games as me. I'm going to just work on my game for my team and the playoffs. I'm no replacement."

KGs first all star appearance was as an injury replacement. He ended up with 15 appearances and was voted in as a starter many times. I think we are about to see something similar with Ant.

We can be thankful for that when you consider, with KAT out, who would be taking the shots if he wasn't. He's 15th this season in field goal attempts. He'll likely be taking even more shots with DLO gone - at least until KAT returns.

As a middle aged white guy I'm curious, did anyone find any element of entertainment in that halftime performance? I enjoy a wide variety of music, from 80's butt rock to Ariana Grande, but that didn't make sense to me.

NBA has been pretty intentional in developing Africa, there are multiple players in this game who started playing there. I think they view it as pretty untapped. Good music, I had no idea who any of them were though.
