Some great D at the end. Hard to maintain that level of D for an entire game But we can't complain about the Wolves defense tonight. They held the Warriors to 107 points. The Wolves just don't have any offensive firepower if Ant isn't hitting his shots. Yet, the Wolves still would have won the game if they had been remotely competent from the free-throw line. The Wolves aren't very good and they find ways to lose, which is what poor to mediocre teams tend to do.

In fairness to JMac, he's still not in game shape. He's a much better player than we've seen since his return from the calf muscle tear. On the other hand, even at his best we're in trouble if we're depending on JMac to win a game for us.

Yes, that sums it up pretty well

Ant sucked when we need him to be great every game. Rudy would have been helpful tonight. We were playing a lot of stiffs. This is not looking good. I doubt we get pushed out of a play in game but either way it is looking grim. Come back KAT.

I've always been against trading KAT. Unlike Cool, I think this team can be a contender with KAT provided that Edwards becomes the star we're all hoping he'll be. But I'm beginning to think the only path for this team is to trade both KAT and Gobert after this season for picks and talented young players for something approaching a rebuild.

Still not sure I'm there yet as I still favor just trading Gobert. But if we really want to get meaningful talent and picks back, trading Gobert might not be enough.

I'm still very much on the Karl-Anthony Towns wagon. Towns remains an elite offensive player and his game is extremely complimentary to Anthony Edwards'. Throw Jaden McDaniels in there and one or two others and that's the core of this current roster moving forward.

I'd look to trade both Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley Jr. this summer for younger, more dynamic talent even if unproven or risky. Re-sign Naz Reid and Nickeil Alexander-Walker as well.

If you wanna do that, fine, but the vultures will be surrounding this team looking for Ant until he breaks and that might not take very long.

and I've been saying it since he got injured. KAT's not coming back. Not trading Naz was an indicator. Not being forthcoming about the injury was an indicator. This team's play is an indicator.

But look on the bright side, people, It's Ant's team! Whatever the hell that means. That's code for "Ant, you're gonna develop, but you're gonna be alone and when you're finally a finished product, 29 other teams will come calling."

I'd like to trade Rudy as well, but I just don't think it's realistic. TC is not going to cut his own throat like that. The guys who hated the Gobert trade from the beginning have been proven right, it was a bad move given the other options out there. I always thought it was too much to give up, but I had hopes it would make us a contender. Well I can't see that happening now so the whole thing stinks. KAT would get our draft capital back and hopefully a really good starter as well. I understand those who don't want to move on from him, but before you blink he's going to be 30 and still not accomplished anything in this league. We will probably stay the course, but if you really want to inject some life into the organization, trading KAT would be the move. The new owners might be looking to do something like that.
