Good win. Conley's buckets late were crucial.

Huge win.

Clippers, pelicans, blazers, Jazz, lakers all lose tonight.

Wolves now have the tiebreaker against the lakers also and up 2.5 games total

Defense was fantastic against.

Gobert was amazing
Ant was solid

Bench scored the ball and was competitive on D

It's a who knows. People keep saying he is close but who knows. I'm guessing a random game will come by and he will randomly be active or he will be out for the year

I couldn't stay up for the second half. I'll have to watch the recording later today or tomorrow. This was a big win!

The Wolves now have sole possession of 7th place. The only two teams the Wolves could conceivably pass in the standings are Dallas and Golden State, but when you look at each team's schedule I don't see that happening. Interestingly, the Warriors are on a five game winning streak and all five wins came without Steph Curry. Unlike KAT, Curry's return is apparently imminent. The Wolves are only a half game behind the Mavs, but it will be tough to pass them now that they have Kyrie.

The key to holding onto 7th place will be staying in front of the Clippers and Pelicans. Based on talent and schedule, i still see the Clippers passing the Wolves. So as a practical matter, I think 8th place is probably the best the Wolves can do this season. But this Wolves team is starting to look pretty tough and resilient.

I won't be able to watch this one until I get back next week. Reading a few quotes on Twitter implies the positive mental impact Conley is having on the team. An adult in the room.

A win tonight would be damn impressive!

Lip, you gotta go into news blackout mode and not peek at the score before watching the replay the next morning...I'm guessing you were one of those kids who peeked at your presents before Christmas too!

A huge LA sweep now has the Wolves in 7th place. I don't know that any of us would have predicted a 2-2 road trip that could have easily been 0-4, and there's even a chance for a 3-1 with a win against Sac-Town tomorrow...both teams coming off back to backs. A little 2021-2 luck with James and DLo missing, but let's not overlook the fact that we were playing without KAT again. This was a good win.

With Russell out again, the Lakers were forced to play a SG as backup PG. Dane Moore said the key to the game was dominating the minutes Austin Reaves was at PG, and JMac made sure that happened...a +10 for him and a -11 for Reaves. Ballgame...nice call, Dane! JMac again struggled with his shot, but you can tell in the last two games he has shaken off the rust he showed when he returned from injury. Terrific ball movement when he was out there and consistently disruptive defense. 6 assists and no turnovers. Reaves has shot over 50% this season, and JMac harassed him into a 2-9 night. He gets one of my game balls.

The other one goes to the other Mac. Finchie had him guarding the PG again with the same result...3-13 shooting for Schroeder. He is truly elite on defense at 22!

You win with defense in the playoffs, and this team is starting to make me believe in them defensively...the NBA has been high-scoring recently, but the Wolves have held opponents to less than 110 points in three consecutive games. They will get a true test tonight as they face the highest scoring team in the league on the back end of a back to back...let's see if they can step up.

Ant continues to be a big part of our defensive resurgence. He's only scored over 20 points once since the all-star game (I still wish he could have had the week off) and he continues to turn the ball over too much (5 last night), but he shot efficiently and again made a big impact on defense.

I don't know if Kek pointed it out in the GDT, but it remains too easy to score on us in the paint when Rudy sits. Fortunately Naz's quantum leap on offense has made up for his defensive deficiencies, but let's hope he can keep it up. He is becoming a very good offensive center...he makes the big threes, and it's fun to watch him size up his opponent when he gets the ball around the free throw line. He is supremely confident on offense these days.

Great win!!!!!
