Agreed. Those Detroit games were frustrating, but this team has played well since that losing streak. Hopefully they can keep it going until all star break.

"Ant was getting on Rudy pretty hard about some defensive rotation/coverage thing during an early timeout tonight. Rudy wasn't really hearing it. Kyle & Taurean both chimed in, agreeing with Ant. KAT dapped up Rudy to ease tension. Rudy left soon after with a groin injury."

-John meyer of Canishoops

This type of "journalism" annoys the shit out of me for being multiple yards away from the huddle. Tweets this hours after the game. 0 questions asked about this post game. He personally tweets during the game Rudy has grabbed his groin multiple possessions in a row.

Who knows this might be the most legit thing ever but making massive assumptions with 0 follow up just for clicks is so unprofessional it's annoying (the tweet starting to make its rounds on twitter)

Good win

First of all I wanna give out a shout out to Jaylen Nowell. The way he played tonight is the way I wanna see him play every night unless he somehow does start hitting open 3's. He did jack up 1 ill advised 3 but the rest of the time he was attacking and the energy he plays with is great. He had some pretty good possessions as a defender and also made some good rotations on that end also. Idk if Russell was hurt or Finch just went with Nowell but he played well down the stretch.

Cavs announcers began to annoy me. They seemed to have no idea about McDaniels game. They claimed Garland had a mismatch on him on the perimeter later in the game.

Rivers I haven't watched the guy a whole lot in his career but the games I have seen I really like his game. Dude picks his spots and attacks annd even makes plays for others and his 3 point shooting while on low volume if it stays even decent helps. In addition he can be an asset on D.

Heck of a win and Garza had a heck of a stretch to help get the Wolves the lead. He made some solid defensive plays even. It's pretty nifty he is getting minutes at this point and general looking like he belongs as at least a bench NBA player. It kinda reminds me of when Naz got an opportunity and seized it.

Also the Wolves actually played some good D down the stretch and that was without Gobert. It was good to see.

There were a lot of little things watching the Cavs broadcast replay that bothered me. I feel like the wolves crew will own up if they call out a bad call that upon replay is immediately obvious that the right call was made, but the Cavs announcers just double down like they could never be wrong. Golden states announcers are even worse in that regard, apparently it irks me lol. Feels good to have a win after suffering through a bad broadcast.

Loved seeing Luka get some run, he seems to make up for his mobility with good iq/footwork, but I think that is the one obstacle to an extended nba career for him.

Having Prince/slomo available on nights when Jaden gets a tough whistle is nice (they provide different things, but at least they provide!)

Garza is such a stud scorer though....I think he sticks in the NBA because he can provide offensive punch off the bench along with infectious energy. And he does work hard on defense. But yeah, probably isn't going to be a 10-year starter.

From what I've seen Garza actually plays bigger than his measurements. Even though he has slimmed down the guy is still just really strong. If he can be a guy that is even just not a liability on D, keeps playing hard and even be able to hit 3's while scoring inside...dude will stick around a while. Not everyone has to be awesome or a starter to have value. He is also a good screener and he is skilled so you can run some offense through him because he is smart and can pass the ball some too. He seems to be the type of big that Finch likes on offense.

Another thing I will add is that the wolves have their collection of centers partly because they likely decided to keep the most talented player in Garza as a 2 way player. That was not expected but he earned a roster spot. Like Dave said having Prince available when McDaniels isn't out there is a big deal. Before they really had nobody and Paschall should have been a guy to help there but he didn't make the team. I know the Wolves could use another PG type but I think that another SF when Prince was out has actually been the biggest weakness of the roster. I think part of why they added Matt Ryan was that he is a bigger guy more like a forward than Lawson (signed a 2-way deal with Dallas)...plus I think they thought Ryan could actually help them right away.
