2nd Knee Surgery Completed Yesterday

Post by Coolbreeze44 »

After having my initial knee replacement completed in June, I had the second one done yesterday. I'm making this post because a member of this board gave me the best advice i have received through this process. I wish I could remember who it was, and if you are reading this, please ID yourself. But you said the most important thing was to attack the rehab vigorously right from the start, and not wait until it's a lot harder. So I followed that advice and the rehab couldn't have gone better. Thanks for that advice, I will be doing the same this time in hopes of hitting the golf course with abandon in March. As a result of the procedure, I didn't get a chance to see the game last night. So I'm 0-0 with two good knees. Let's hope going forward the record takes a big uptick.

I wish you a speedy recovery Cool. While it sucks to be down from the surgery, the upside is you should have more time for posting. Keep 'em coming!

Season ending surgery? Or should we expect you back for playoffs?

Should be back for the stretch run. Let's hope we are playing for something.

Hang in there man and keep going hard after it. After the year I had of ups and downs with medical stuff it's important to stay positive. To have the same mindset in the the good and bad days.

Well, I am just coming off cataract surgery... And it is wonderful!

I am probably looking at one or two knee replacements over the next few years. Glad to hear yours have gone well! I know there can be little setbacks during the rehab process. But your motivation at rehab will have you swinging a golf club in no time!
