Anibal Sanchez let go which seems obvious since he was not going to make the roster with Lynn signing. I also wonder if he wasn't looking as good as they hoped also but I'm sure it was more about the roster spot they needed.

Saw that - I was not to excited about that signing. I wonder if he will be willing to play at AAA. Then I start wondering would he make our AAA staff.

So do the Twins lose a pick with the Lynn signing?

Cobb to the Orioles for 4 years for 56-60 million. Would you rather have done that deal or the 1 year deal to Lynn?

That two-year, $20M offer to Lynn would have been perfect, but that's irrelevant now. I'm happy we have Lynn. He's a good fit. That's not bad value for Cobb, but I don't think we need another long-term commitment to the rotation with the almost MLB-ready arms we have in the farm, namely Gonsalves and Romero.

You are right plus they have Mejía and next year Pineda. They have some other prospects that aren't far away plus the unlikely chance Hughes is healthy and can pitch. They could always resign Lynn and the more I think about it I think I would prefer to take the risk he is terrific and you have to pay him a bunch of money if you want to keep him over the risk he isn't good or gets hurt like a 4 year deal with Cobb.
