GDT: Minnesota vs. Memphis
The Wolves are going for their 32nd lucky win of the season tonight against Tyus Jones and the 41-19 Grizzlies.
Minnesota is at full health to begin the second half of the season while Memphis will be without former Wolves-killer Dillon Brooks. Fortunately for us, Ja Morant will be playing and we know the Grizzlies are worse with him on the court. What a bum -- entertaining, yes, but ineffective, I hear.
Minnesota answers with D'Angelo Russell, who's been something of a Grizzly-killer in his career. In 16 career games against Memphis he's averaged 22.5 points per game with a .597 true shooting percentage to go along with 6.3 assists per game. That includes three games against the Grizzlies this year.
- 11/08: 30 points (10-22 FG, 6-13 3P, 4-4 FT), seven assists (two turnovers), and five rebounds, L
- 11/20: 28 points (9-15 FG, 4-9 3P, 6-9 FT), five assists (two turnovers), and four rebounds, W
- 1/13: 29 points (11-19 FG, 6-11 3P, 1-2 FT), six assists (two turnovers), and three rebounds, L
Minnesota will need their little-big three to step up against a formidable opponent, but they'll also need a couple players from that second unit to make an impact. Memphis' real strength, in my opinion, is their bench.

Thought about taking the Wolves +2 but I couldn't pull the trigger.

Ja Morant is a magician with the basketball.

How about that pass from Steven Adams!

Minnesota's 6-19 from the field and 2-8 from three. Plenty of decent looks mixed in there. Just not able to hit.

Grizzlies are a fun team to watch. Unselfish ball movement and finding the open man every possession.
