Knicks v. Hawks GDT

Post by Lipoli390 »

I know this is a Timberwolves Board, but I thought I'd start a thread for the Knicks/Hawks game that going on right now. I might be the only regular poster who's watching it right now.

Here are my initial thoughts after the 1st quarter with Atlanta up by 8 points:

1. I find the Knicks a fun team to watch. They play such hard-nosed defense and they attack the basket relentlessly on the offensive end. They're a throw-back team.

2. As much as I like watching the Knicks, this game so far illustrates how hard it is to win, especially in the playoffs, when you're a bad three-point shooting team like the Knicks.

After falling behind by over 10, the Knicks have closed the gap to 4 points thus far in the 2nd quarter. A couple other thought from this game so far. First, Derrick Rose is still a great player - as we might recall from his time here. Second, Quickly was a nice draft pick last year.

This has been such a solid draft. Ball and Ant look like they could be special and there is so many solid players in this draft

I agree, Kek. Also agree with you on John Collins. He's having a heck of a game tonight. I'm really enjoying this game.

I really like both these teams. But I find myself pulling for the Knicks.

Love the way Taj grabs the ball with authority on rebounds. Randle is a heck of a player. It took him a while to find himself in the NBA, but he's finally showing why he was so highly valued coming into the NBA. He's an example of why patience with young players is important.
