Around the league thread
Re: Around the league thread
Another great game for Zach LaVine tonight. He had 36 points, 8 assists and 2 steals. He hit 63% of his FG attempts and 50% of his threes while hitting all 8 of his free-throw attempts. He was also a +15 in a winning effort against the Pelicans. LaVine is clearly having an all-NBA season.
While not all-NBA or even all-star level, Coby White is havIng a pretty good season thus far, averaging 16 points and 5.2 rebounds per game while hitting 41% of his FGAs and 34% of his threes. I wasn't a fan of Coby coming out of college, but it's worth noting that Rosas could have drafted him instead of Culver. I confess I wasn't advocating for it at the time, but in retrospect he would have clearly been a better pick than Culver.

Anyone see what Kevin Garnett had to say on Instagram after his group's bid to buy the Wolves franchise? He sounded off. Not too happy with Glen Taylor. Shocker.

Glen Taylor is awful. The fact that he has sat on his ass, and made this the worst losing franchise of all time, and will make a billion dollars on his piss poor performance is horrible. The NBA needs relegation and penalties for owners who treat the product like dirt.

Don't worry. The NBA will levy the proper punishment.
After Taylor sells with an extra billion... the Wolves will relocate to another city. And it will be "justified" because it was a loser small market franchise anyway. That'll teach those truly responsible for this mess a valuable lesson.

Wiggins is regressing with GS. After his hot start to the season (it was similar to Wiggins career averages) the fans are starting to turn on him. He is 23 of his last 83 from deep (27.7%), his numbers are down across the board in GS (His FG and 3pt % are slightly up) and fans haven't been happy lately. With comments of he just seems too comfortable out there.
Wiggins is Wiggins and he is a good dude but man he is a big reason the Wolves are in this mess right now. He has so much talent just could never put it together

It's not only that he didn't put it together. He obviously doesn't care to put it to together. Basketball is nothing but his job to him. Wiggins is the type athlete I hate the most. Has all the God given talent and just wastes it because he doesn't give a crap. As someone who had work his ass off just to play division 3 baseball it grinds my gears.

Don't worry guys.
I heard that he recently looked Steve Kerr almost directly in the eyes and promised he'd maybe possibly try harder.

We are also in discussions to deal for Larry Nance Jr as well. Not sure any of these players move the needle much.

Maybe they're just trying to bring in legit professionals who know how to play at this point.
Whether you like the talented young kids or not... there's simply too many in in too many critical roles to win games right now.
Even though they're all on the same timeline!!!!!!!!!!

The problem for me is that Minnesota's already shown a willingness to overpay for veteran players that aren't necessarily game-changers. That trade for Ricky Rubio was legitimately bad on draft night and it only looks worse now. There's no telling what Gersson Rosas might put on the table now that his ass is closer to being on the hot seat.
