LMAO at all those stupid fans from those mediocre teams. Hoping and praying just to get out of the 1st rd. every once in awhile.

Sure but even more so- MN >>>>>>>>>>> Orlando, Washington, Charlotte, Chicago.

I like our chances to compete in 3-5 years versus theirs when LeBron is retired and Kawhi is 34. I like our chances over the top 6 too.

You're the perfect fan for the worst franchise in NBA history.

The fact is as a Wolves fan we're not getting LeBron type FA's any time soon so the only way to get them is in the draft. So tanking has to happen otherwise you'll limit yourself to mediocre likely picking 12-20 every year. It's extremely rare to get a top 5 elite player in that range. Giannis is the rarity.

If your name is not Curry, Kawhi, Lebron, or Dirk you didn't win a title in this last decade. The 2x MVP was selected in the mid of the 1st round. The Raptors just won a title wiith 0 top 10 picks on their roster.

There hasn't been a #1 overall pick to win a title with there original team without moving to another team 1st since Tim Duncan and Tim Duncan is the only player to do this in the last 20 years

Kyrie Irving?

My bad you are correct. I was wrong. So 2 people in what 25ish years

You also have to give some time for these 19 year olds to develop. Let's see how Edwards, Zion and others do in 4-5 years. You don't go from 1st pick in the draft to NBA Champion overnight.

How about this. List teams that won a Championship without a top 3 pick on it? Toronto and Boston?

The Wolves are the 2nd youngest team in the league. It's going to take a few years for the young guys like Edwards to hopefully become a legit NBA top 5-10 superstar. If you can't have patience or expect the team to contend for a title this year then you are looking at the wrong team to root for. DLO and KAT have also not even entered their prime yet (what are they 24 and 25?). Come back and watch in 3 years.

Nobody here is expecting this team to contend. Make the fucking playoffs. Over half the league makes it every year. It's not that hard. Edwards is one guy in a 10-11 man rotation that mostly consists of NBA veterans. Ricky, Beasley, D Lo, Layman, Juancho, Davis. This ain't their first rodeo. They've all been in the league. You don't go from bottom 5 team in the league to contender overnight especially as a young team. So if you expect this team to actually contend in 3 years then that means they should be making the playoffs now.

I agree, Kahns. This team should be contending for a playoff spot at this point in its development. But based on what we've seen so far, I don't see this team as a playoff team if KAT remains out until February as I fear. As I see it, other than KAT's absence, the main problems keeping us out of playoff contention are lack of size and coaching.
