Putting a team together requires a variety of player archetypes that maximize team performance by each individual performing their role at maximum potential. I'm of the belief that if Anthony Edwards continues his ascent, the best archetype PG next to him is more of a role player - but a damn good one at that. One that can set up the offense, handle the ball, defend at least a couple of positions, and hit the open shot. Tyus Jones fits this archetype in my opinion, although probably not at the top rung. A healthy Lonzo Ball would be nearly ideal.

Leandro Bolmaro also fits this archetype, although he's on nearly the lowest rung of the ladder when it comes to production. But damn, we should be crossing our fingers and toes that this kid grows in confidence as a shooter and play maker, because the defense, hustle and intangibles are all there.

I think it's a long shot that he's "the answer" as Ant's sideman at the other guard position based on how out of sorts he looked most of the time last season, but if you watch his highlights you can see the outlines of something that could blossom.

I love this take. True, Bolmaro didn't show us much last season, but he's still very young, and has shown flashes of great ability as a teenager. I agree he's the type of guy I would love to see next to Ant and KAT. It's a dream, but perhaps not completely a pipe dream.

I wish they would have stashed Bolmaro and let him develop overseas where he could get more playing time and not eat up a roster spot.

Hall of Fame is absolutely pushing it. I'll give Rosas credit for Ant (though he did pick first and had two shots at star talent in Ant and LaMelo). Jaden is still mostly promise at this point (though I love the pick), but we need to pump the brakes a bit. Bolmaro is no Desmond Bane, who was taken later, or even a good NBA player so all we can do is hope he develops soon or he'll be off the roster. But trading up for Culver and trading two picks and Wiggs for DLO could get him into the Hall of Shame. Better job than Kahn and Thibs for sure, but the HOF notion is crazy unless Ant becomes Wade and Jaden becomes Kawai.

I also love Q's take. I don't think it's a complete pipe dream by any stretch. I thought Bolmaro looked really good except for his shooting. But even his shooting didn't look Okogie-like terrible. He's very young and has a great spirit. Bolmaro is a terrific ball-handler with very good length. He's also a really good passer with a good feel for the game and a lot of energy. Rosas really wanted him and I think Gersson earned a lot of respect while here for his ability to spot young talent. It's way too early to make any judgments on how good Bolmaro can be. As I've mentioned a number of times, the key to player development is patience. The good organizations that develop their own talent always show patience. Golden State showed a lot of patience with Curry through his early ankle issues. Since then, they've shown great patience with Poole and especially with Looney.

Thankfully, the Wovles under Rosas showed some good patience with Nowell and JMac. They need to continue to show patience with those two and do the same with Bolmaro.
