But I want to draw attention to the rest of his game, which often gets lost in the shadow of his incredible perimeter shooting. He has a fantastic handle with great shiftiness and is elite at scoring on dribble penetration. He's also a tremendous passer. I'll always remember Bobby Knight's draft analysis of Steph Curry back in 2009. Bobby was using a using a telestrator to illustrate and evaluate Curry's passing. It was fascinating and revealing. At the end of his analysis, Bobby Knight declared that "Steph Curry is the best passer in college basketball." Those were his exact words and if you watched what Knight was illustrating with the telestrator, you couldn't help but agree.

I think back and wonder whether David Kahn saw the Bobby Knight evaluation. :). In any event, the Warriors ended up with one of college basketball's best shooters who also happened to be college basketball's best passer. It doesn't get much better than that. Since then, Curry has actually become a better shooter than he was in college -- a tribute to Curry's work ethic, but also a reminder as we approach the draft that shooting is the one skill that can improve a lot once a player gets to the NBA.

I think I already knew it... but I became convinced watching Curry in Game 4 that he's the most skilled basketball player of all time.

Truly an amazing player. And leader.

Yeah, to do what he has done given his physical stature can only have happened with other-worldly skills. Hard to disagree with that statement.

Curry is a legend but I still think Kyrie is the most skilled basketball player of all time!

I'm still looking for the smiley face in your post. :). There, I added one. Seriously, Kyrie is tremendously skilled, but I don't see him as Curry's equal, much less his superior in that regard.

One underrated aspect of Curry's game is his ability to finish off drives. He is so good around the rim, getting the ball over taller defenders, and having almost perfect touch off the glass. He's one of my all time favorite players.

Exactly, Cool. He's an elite shooter, as well as an elite dribble penetrator and finisher. And he's also an elite passer. A phenomenal offensive player who is underrated defensively. And he's a class act to boot. He's definitely one of my all-time favorites too.

I think one of the most underrated aspects of Curry is his strength especially in the lower body. This helps him in several areas but it becomes very apparent when he gets switched onto much bigger players. They can't totally just go through him.

I personally don't think Steph is an ELITE passer. I think he is good but I don't think elite especially when talking about him as one of the greatest players ever. It's something he did improve more than a little even after their first title run. He isn't Steve Nash passing the ball but he isn't a scoring PG that passes the ball because it's the position he plays and he has the ball a lot. He is a legit PG making plays for others. Also his movement without the ball is pretty special for a guy that's a PG.

I disagree with you on Steph's passing. Bobby Knight was right when he proclaimed Steph the best passer in college basketball. He's only gotten better in that department. His passing simply gets lost in the rest of his tremendous array of talents, but it's there. He's the team's main ball-handler and he facilitates probably the best overall passing team in the League. He's the main guy who makes that happen.

This probably won't come as a complete shock, but if Bobby Knight said it, I believe it. He is the biggest influence on my coaching career.

Wiggins quote regarding resigning with the Warriors "I would love to stay here. This is top-notch. The way they treat their players, the way they treat your family. We're all one big family. A lot of places might say that, but here their actions show it. I would love to stay here."

I think the highlighted text is a dig at Rosas who talked about "family" atmosphere, then proceeded to trade away virtually the entire team.
