Hall of Fame is absolutely pushing it. I'll give Rosas credit for Ant (though he did pick first and had two shots at star talent in Ant and LaMelo). Jaden is still mostly promise at this point (though I love the pick), but we need to pump the brakes a bit. Bolmaro is no Desmond Bane, who was taken later, or even a good NBA player so all we can do is hope he develops soon or he'll be off the roster. But trading up for Culver and trading two picks and Wiggs for DLO could get him into the Hall of Shame. Better job than Kahn and Thibs for sure, but the HOF notion is crazy unless Ant becomes Wade and Jaden becomes Kawai.
We don't know what Bolmaro or McDaniels will be. They could eventually be as good as or better than Bane. I say that even though I wanted us to draft Bane at the time. But it's amazing how we can somehow lose sight of how long it can take for 20 or 21 year old players to reach their potential as NBA players. Some players develop faster than others. And some players, like Bane, come to the League with a head start as college upperclassmen.

Sure, its possible but extremely unlikely that Bolmaro becomes better than Bane. But my point wasn't to denigrate Bolmaro, it was crazy to use HOF and Rosas in same sentence. Rosas got us Ant, but didn't Flip get us KAT and Zach Lavine and trade for a third all-star in Wiggs. Flip's credentials are not perfect, but I think he's certainly done a better job of acquiring talent than Rosas did. I'm happy Rosas is gone especially after the stupid trade he made just to appease KAT and his unwillingness to pair a traditional 5 with KAT.

I understood your main point, KG. I see just taking the opportunity to push back a bit on what seems like a tendency among many (not you in particular) to write off young players well before they've had a chance to develop. We're nowhere close to havIng a good sense of how good Bolmaro can be or is likely to become.

I get it and I haven't written Bolmaro off and ideally he would have another year to show he belongs on the roster. But I also know you expressed concern about the amount of roster spots available to stash young prospects. I frankly would get a lot more excited about Kennedy Chandler, TyTy or Nembhard if we drafted any of them. And there are some other non-point guard prospects that would likely be available in round two, who I would prefer to roster over Bolmaro. There are too many variables to know at this time, but I think my point is that we shouldn't view Bolmaro as untouchable if we decide to trade him or even cut him in order to bring in enough free agents and rookies where his roster spot might be needed.

The whole premise of Doper's Rosas HOF comment was based on the premise of Edwards McDaniels AND Bolmaro all hitting. He didn't say they would be it was IF they did well damn that's a hell of a draft.
I've been a fan of Bolmaro after I chuckled at the Knicks picking him then seeing the highlights I was like damn I kinda like that guy and then hey we ended up with him. I'll be happy if he just becomes a versatile rotation player that can play multiple positions.
KG - I definitely don't view Bolmaro as untouchable. But with his length and ball skills, I see him as a better prospect than Chandler or Nembhard. I actually like Ty Ty a lot and might consider him a better prospect than Bolmaro.

Bolmaro has more length, for sure than Chandler. But he lacks the first step that Chandler uses to blow by guys. I think Chandler is a better ball handler and passer and is a better outside shooter. They both played in U19 and Chandler had overall better stats. I hope the Wolves can roster both players. While Chandler is definitely a point guard, Bolmaro could play 1-3.
