Patrick Beverley threw his name out there in a hypothetical move to Miami. I like Beverley, but he's going to be 34 real soon and he's also getting paid a fair amount of money, so if we could get a positive return from him, I'd explore it. What could we realistically get for Beverley? If anybody offered a FRP, I'd take it, but that would surprise me. Could we get Miami's FRP (27th overall) for Beverley, pick 40 and pick 50? If so, I'd do it if someone we like is available at 27 (which I think will be the case). Miami having forfeited their second rounder, might like getting two picks.
Does Patrick Beverley have any trade value?
Re: Does Patrick Beverley have any trade value?
I realize that if the Wolves traded Pat Bev to Miami they'd have to take back Duncan Robinson on a long term deal averaging $15.65 million. Given that Duncan Robinson regressed last year and is pretty much a three point specialist, I'm not sure if I'd want to take on the extra years involved. Thoughts? I saw this article out there on a hypothetical Robinson/Bev trade proposal that is a complete joke which ridiculously overvalues Robinson to the point where they throw out a trade proposal that sends out P Bev, Vando and a FRP from the Wolves for Robinson and Yurvetsan. https://heavy.com/sports/miami-heat/patrick-beverley-timberwolves-trade/

I think he has some value for the right team. If you were going to sell, now would be the time to do it before he puts up 45 games this year.

I don't see this as anything serious. I watched the clip and Jay Williams suggested a handful of star players that Miami could have interest in and Patrick Beverley facetiously suggested his name into that group of bigger names. I do think Miami would be interested in acquiring him, but I don't see a trade that shakes out that benefits Minnesota. And the Wolves are, without a doubt in my mind, not going to take on Duncan Robinson's bloated contract.

I agree, hell just 10 or so days ago he was trying to recruit LeBron to Minnesota lol.

Yeah, bev has value. I ain't touching Robinson unless there's two firsts coming back. I'd consider bev for 27 straight up, but I think I would pass.
Re: Does Patrick Beverley have any trade value?
I dont see the upside in dealing Bev unless a player comes back that will impact winning on the same level or moreso. This team needs to keep building momentum.

It's pretty clear only way he goes to MIA is to get a 3rd team involved.
