Trade Patrick Beverley?

Post by Lipoli390 »

Check out this report:

To that end, an NBA executive just namechecked one of the league's ultimate lockdown defenders -- who also happens to be a career 38% three-point shooter -- as a player Miami has designs on prying from his current team. "The Heat would love to get Patrick Beverley. The Timberwolves, obviously, they love what he brought last year, but if they could sell high, they might be willing to give him up. They have a new regime [ex-nuggets president tim connelly] there, so they can look at things a little more realistically."

Just tried out some trades on the NBA trade machine. How about Beasley and Beverley for Bam? :)

I don't see much on there roster that would make sense, there's also a reason a great franchise like MIA wants Beverley. Maybe a 3rd team gets involved and more players come into the equation.

Did you read all the way to the end where it seems this league source put forth a possible trade where the Wolves would apparently be lucky enough to land Duncan Robinson? Whoever that is can seriously STFU or I congratulate them on a FANTASTIC troll job. Lol

I think if the Wolves trade Beverly it has to basically be a no brainer. Not because he is absolutely untouchable but it just doesn't make sense to deal a guy like that unless you get something really good. He is an aging vet on a 1 year deal so it could makes sense to deal him but we would have his bird rights at the end even if his next contract is less money per year. Connelly coming in does make a Beverly deal is a little more feasible.

He certainly fits in with Miami's culture of toughness and defense. But they need to get Butler some help with shot creation and making. Herro didn't seem very reliable in the playoffs and we don't know if 'Dipo will ever return to his peak powers offensively (that's if he even returns to Miami). They already are a 10 out of 10 on the toughness meter.

Ya know, DLO may not look so bad in Miami with all those defenders and a guy that loves the pick and roll game in Bam.

Bam Abedayo is a potential DPOY and borderline All NBA player.

A late-model Beverley + three point specialist Beasley isn't remotely close enough.

In fact, are we sure Beasley is ahead of Strus or Robinson in the rotation? I doubt it.

Lol. Not sure how Abe missed that. There isn't a single poster on this message board who would propose what I suggested as anything but a joke.

I can't think of a good trade for Pat Bev with the heat.

I have a hard time finding a good trade dealing with Pat Bev. I want Beverly over a lot of role players. Then pat bev won't bring in a big piece.

I don't think the kings would do this but it is rumored the kings want win now pieces. Would you do Pat Bev for Davion Mitchell? Would you do Pat Bev, Beasley and #19 for #4?
