I think Brogdon or a player of his type would be ideal.

This is a genuine question what do you see making him a better fit than Russell?

What about a sign and trade package for Jalen Brunson?

I would be incredibly surprised if he doesn't remain in Dallas.

I wondered the same thing. Another option...we could just play Jaylen Nowell instead. Brunson has actually done it and made the jump but Nowell put together enough on his resume this season that it seems possible (not just based on theoretical potential) that he could end up being a nice guard going forward...hopefully with the Wolves.

May be. Nowell is a 3-level scorer that could really get into a groove if given a specific role and consistent minutes. His issue is defense. He tries hard, but man, he gets targeted on that end and it usually doesn't go well. I do think he could be our 6th man as soon as next year if we need to use Beasley in a trade.

Russell and Beasley (possibly #19) for Hayward, Rozier and Washington.

There are rumors that the Hornets might trade Hayward and Rozier for Westbrook because they want Westbrook expiring contract.

So why not give the Hornets 2 better players than Westbrook right now and the Wolves get a solid young but not great PF back in Washington.

Lineup:
PG: Rozier/Jmac
SG: Ant/Bev/ Nowell
SF: Hayward/Mcdaniels/ Bolmaro
Pf: Washington/Vando/Prince (if they resign)
C: Kat/Naz

Still have the MLE to work with, with 3 2nd round picks.

Hayward is still good just hurt a lot. Rozier is very solid and a good defender. Also Hayward money comes off the books before Ants Max, Towns Super Max and Mcdaniels extension comes in.

Yeah maybe he can't play defense (I didn't watch him enough this season to say so I will defer to you) but I brought him up because of his offensive skills and he costs less than 2 million next season. That's cheap for what he might be able to provide even if his defense is still wanting.

This is what I meant about linear trades in a prior comment. To me, this feels like making a trade that doesn't make the Wolves actually better. I actually see more potential downside for a deal like this than upside.

With that said, I can still appreciate the creativity. I have no doubts that Charlotte wants to unload Gordon Hayward before re-signing Miles Bridges.
