Why would Flip offer him a buyout? He clearly wants to leave, and will get paid by another team, so just offer to cancel his deal. I think it is foolish to pay guys to go away that you could use.

I wouldn't do crap until after the trade deadline. Then I would offer him half what is owed and if he doesn't take it I would tell him to stay home.

Yeah, I gotta think we buy him out. All depends on how badly he wants to play with a playoff team, and is willing to drop lower the buy out amount.

Practice report from yesterday didn't make it seem like he wanted a buyout. I am sure it is a smoke screen. I will have to say the trade deadline sure doesn't make me feel like the Payne trade was a good one for us.
