Can they get one more win? At Chicago is probably the best chance they have with Rose out.
A glance at the remaining schedule shows the Wolves have a decent opportunity to have a winning record in March and April, too!
So what is the lottery protection for our 2015 pick? I thought it was just top-10, but I have seen some other people toss out other numbers. Anyone know for sure (guess I am to lazy to go research it right now...)?
Two shots at a winning record in February
Re: Two shots at a winning record in February
Top 12 protected this year & next. Becomes two 2nds after that. There's no way we're losing that pick this year.

Yeah, even if the wolves did go .500 the rest of the way, 25 or 26 wins is not nearly enough to put them in danger of losing the pick.
But what about winning the next two games? I believe they will be underdogs in both, but winning both is not inconceivable. We played the Bulls earlier in the year, also with them missing Rose, and barring a bad call at the end of the game, would have beaten them. And I believe the two teams are going in opposite directions now. as demonstrated by the big egg the Bulls laid against Charlotte last night. The latest Rose injury has to be enormously deflating for them. Also, I would argue that replacing Thad with KG/Payne makes us a much longer and better matchup for them. This one is in play.
And as for Memphis, we seem to have something special going with them. Our two games have gone right down to the wire, and have resulted in a 1-1 split. Now that we have the KG effect, this one is definitely in play.
I have the two games as losses in the TOM, but now I think the most likely scenario is a split. There has bee some discussion of resting KG on BTB's and maybe some road games, so there's a chance he doesn't play Friday. As much as I love Payne, I think the Bulls would beat him up.
