He's a strange, strange man, but I'm glad he's back. Love the story about him yelling at Pek in practice today.

It's a weird feeling watching and listening to him.. feel a sense of pride that he is back home where he belongs!

Yeah, kind of gave me chill bumps - and I'm not very sentimental.

Here were my takeaways, for those of you that missed the presser:

- Clearly is here because he sees a path to the front office and eventual ownership.

- Said playing beyond this season will depend on his body, family, and friends. That to me says he's open to the idea.

- He said he has no desire to be a coach after his playing days are done. And he made that abundantly clear in a pretty humorous fashion. He said H-E-L-L N-A-H!

- Mentioned how impressed he was with the young talent and how that was a big influence on his decision (although I think he meant it, I believe his desired career path after his playing days is by far the bigger factor here, whether or not we had a roster full of talented youth).

- He seemed pretty pragmatic in how he will go about advising/influencing the youngsters. I don't think he's going to be throwing phones in toilets and slamming people up against lockers. Basically he said he's an open book for the young guys whenever they ask a question. But he did make it pretty clear that he's all-in when on the court.

- He is definitely old school and waxed eloquently on Sam Mitchell's influence on him and how the art of the veteran mentor in the NBA has faded a bit (I don't know if that's true, but he really believes very strongly in the value of veteran leadership).

- While I think all is forgiven with Taylor, I'm not sure all is forgotten. I think he still isn't happy with the way things ended all those years ago, but he now sees that McHale is out of the picture and Taylor will be too eventually. While I disagree with a lot of things about Flip, he is the consummate NBA insider and seems to be great with relationships. Now I wish he'd realize that 3 is greater than 2.....

- He was pretty jocular with a number of the reporters and re-established a nice rapport quickly with both familiar and not-so-familiar faces in the press.

- He has two daughters and still maintains a home here that presumably he goes to during the summers (perhaps some of you knew this, but I had no clue on the details of his private life). It sounds like when he is here, he stays away from downtown and keeps a really low profile. He joked about not remembering how to find his way around Mpls.

Final Takeaway: No real surprises in the motive driving this situation, as clearly he sees himself in a Michael Jordan sort of capacity with this team in the future (part owner, but active in a front office capacity). Let's hope he can do better than Jordan has in Charlotte....Or Taylor for that matter!

I caught part of it. I'll re-watch it when I get back home. But I see this:

When KG turns it on, there's no better interview in all of sports. He had it going today and it was great to have him back

Good summary, Q. You hit the main points.

Yeah, he does have an easy way with many members of the media. I was surprised at first when he didn't seem to know who Jerry Zgoda was, but then I remember Zgoda wasn't covering the Wolves during the KG years.

I really haven't followed KG much since his departure, but he really seems to have matured a lot. I never thought that marriage would survive, but it has, and he at least says al the right things about family.

Yeah, there are frequent KG sightings out around Lake Minnetonka during the summer. A couple downtown strip clubs aren't very happy that he doesn't venture east of 494 anymore.

I was surprised when he talked so openly about his interest in owning the Wolves some day. The only time he ducked a question is when Jay-Z asked him if he intended to be part of an ownership group with Flip. Stupid question from Zgoda, and quite savvy of KG to duck it...players can't talk about forming a partnership with their current coach! Personally, I think the chance of KG ever being a majority owner of the Wolves is remote. NBA ownership is an exclusive club, and they are very careful about who they let in...even more so since the Donald Sterling fiasco. While KG has matured, I think the brotherhood would still consider him too much of a loose cannon to ever let him in. My best guess? He joins the 15-20 FOGs (friends of Glen's) who have a token piece of the rock soon after he retires, but nothing very significant.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow night. Lots of story lines...Wittman, Pierce, and a Wizards team that is really struggling. 2-8 in their last ten, and haven't had a win over a potential playoff team since they beat the Bulls almost a month and a half ago. Wolves have to win this one, because they're not going to be favored in the next three.

Networth of $190 Million. Ouch he has not been lucky on the investment side of things.
