I think Flip was only trying to showcase Buddinger and would have moved him had he had any good games for something small (another expiring vet maybe?).

I see his minutes going to Lavine & Neal more than anything maybe Buddinger plays but I doubt regularly.

I think K-Mart played more SF last night than he had all season! That was when he and Neal were together as the wings.

Geez! We'll never have a full squad I guess - just not meant to be.

There is one silver lining: Robbie Hummel will hopefully be back soon. The doors are now wide open for his glorious return to the rotation!

longstrangetrip wrote:That's really a shame. After missing so much time with the abdominal issue, you know he wanted to come back and finish strong. I had a bad feeling when he played uncharacteristically poorly last night and was so focused on his hand on the bench. Oh well, at least he can say he had a very good sophomore season, and be ready to come back strong next year.

I know how I would like this to impact Flip's rotation, and have a silver lining. End the Zach PG experiment for the year and give him all of Wiggins' SG minutes, and play Wiggins at SF the rest of the year. LoBrow can play 12 minutes at backup PG., and GR3 can back up Wiggins at SF. That's what I would like to see, but you know Flip is going to back up Wig with Bud.

Long - I agree with you on all points. If this means more minutes for Chase, maybe he'll play well and build some trade value. Otherwise, like you, I'd prefer to see those minutes go to GR3.

And the sophomore injury curse continues!
Hopefully Hummel is back soon, like Q said. And I was thinking he was showcasing Bud as well leading up to the deadline. His horrible play probably did more to damage his already minimal league wide value, but I guess it was worth a shot?

This sucks. I thought KG would have a good effect on Shabazz because of his motor. I am hoping we hear news this summer of KG/Shabazz/AB traing together and some Wolves practicing with KG in LA this summer.

My thoughts on Chase.....we simply need to sit him 100% of the time moving forward. Our only hope of him opting out is if he never plays....and I mean ever....thus crippling his future chance at getting a contract. It may seem a bit harsh, but it is what's good for the team.

The only hope of him opting out is him playing so well that he would think he could get more money. He's not turning down 5 million if his last game tape is what he has done so far this year because he might not even get an offer let alone one that can get close to 5 million based on the way he played this year.

It was rumored that Bud asked to be traded. If so then I think there's a chance he opts out. Either way I think he may have more interest this summer than he did at the deadline. He was supposedly 3rd or 4th on Portland's list for shooters.

I saw a little more lift in Chase's legs his last few games. So I think it's essential that Flip give him significant minutes for the chance to rehab his trade value. His value can only go up.
