So keeping Bud means they didn't really add salary cap space. so it's pretty hard to argue the move was made for any other reason other then nostalgia. It's not a super big deal I guess, but that nostalgia going to die pretty quick, and it would be nice to make moves that have the teams future in its best interest. I'll take winning over nostalgia any day of the week

I never thought we'd ever see KG back in uniform ever again.

Exactly, Flip has made the Wolves the biggest loser this trade season. But hey the Wolves and losers have always been synonymous

Yeah, it would have been nice to move Bud. But that doesn't mean he or Martin can't be moved this offseason in order to clear cap space.

I don't know who our future PF is going to be, but I am confident it's not Thad. I like the move.

Bud can also opt out and if he doesn't think he will play minutes and can get a decent 3 year deal for a team that will play him he may just do that. I'm not being optimistic that will happen but it's a possibility.

Flips seems to be smart in a con-man sort of way. You get the fanbase excited for trading for Thad and gave the false hope that the Wolves would actually compete this year. Once that turned out to be a disaster, Flip makes you try to forget about it by bringing back KG for a farewell tour.

The reality is they are a team with the worst record in the league, a team that should be in complete rebuild mode. Instead they have given up 2 first round picks and have 36 million dollars! tied into veteran players that have no place on a rebuilding team in KG, Martin, Bud, and Pek

Going into tomorrow's game, we only have 1 PF and 2 Cs that have played on the team this year, with Payne and KG being the new kids in town...

It makes sense to buy out Neal and sign another big off the street.

Seen a couple reports that Thad fully intends to hit the market this summer. Maybe this was just the Wolves moving on from him. Oh well. Wolves fans hated him anyway
