TOs and poor shooting doomed us in this one, but we almost scrapped back. Harden was by far the best player on the court (no surprise). If Ricky is going to have an off-shooting night, than he certainly can't be throwing the ball away 5 times.

That one Wiggins sequence guarding Harden in isolation and then beating him down the court for a dunk was probably the play of the year for him, although a bit later Harden got back at him and nailed a 3 in his face. But I really don't know what else anyone could have done to guard that guy. And he's even more crafty than Martin at hunting for fouls. I hate watching that shit by the way.

I liked Payne's activity level, but - oof - he looked raw offensively. He still needs to get his sea legs under him. Hopefully he'll settle down a bit in the coming weeks.

Kinda need the other team to be a willing trade partner don't we?

Yeah, he's a tough hombre. It's just amazing how deep these Western Conference teams are. Terrence Jones would hands-down start for us - even with Thad Young on the roster, who I actually think is halfway decent.

I'm about done with Pek. You can't be a C in this league and have shooting percentages like a guard when all your shots are within 10 feet of the hoop. He needs to start making the extra pass like Dieng was tonight. 14 and 7 on the year also won't cut it at 12 million per year. I think we should move him this offseason. We might draft a big and have Dieng and KG. Pek just isn't earning his paycheck right now.

Disagree strongly, you can say you want to trade him because of the injury concern, but the wolves are so much better at defense when Pek is playing. Also he had a bad game, even though he still had a double double and for the most part kept montenounes in check. He is fine.

12 million for 14 and 7 on 44% shooting is quite a bit overpaid. KG is also a better defender than him and I believe Dieng will be fine given another offseason. He just hasn't played well this whole year and at what point does he deserve blame for continually not being well conditioned and ready to play after long breaks? He throws away 10 games on getting back into a game rhythm and 20 games on injuries every year. That's not ok at his new pay scale.

While I agree Pekovic hasn't been great, we are a different team defensively and rebounding the ball when he starts at Center versus the overmatched Dieng. Pekovic is so good at sealing off guys in the paint, that even if he doesn't get the board, he enables a team mate to get it. And he is so much better at walling up and holding position in the paint.

Unless Dieng can start at C next to some big, powerful, and athletic PF (I know Cam - insert Towns here), we simply are a better team with Pek starting at C. But yeah, he's had some real stinkers.

That is what I am talking about and it is just going to be 1 year more of a "bad" contract, when the cap goes up it will look like a bargain on what he brings to the team. I would trade Pek, but not based on his production but based on the injury concern
