Yeah. I've been thinking he was taking the money from the beginning. There's $10M staring at him. He's not getting more than that. Now... if he was older, I can see him trading less money for more years. But, he's only 26... so the longer year deal is still there waiting for him after NEXT season.

Although I saw tonight Milt saying that Thad told them he was opting out. They said this has been in the works for a few weeks. That's about the time Thad decided to start playing better, isn't it?

Powers articulates why I think KG's return is better than a mid-first round pick (or Thad Young, for that matter!).

I like KG and he's a great leader and all, but I don't think you have to have your team run like a boot camp in order to have the right culture. Wiggins doesn't need to have KG's attitude to be the future leader of the team, and shouldn't because that's not him

We will just have to agree to disagree.

He was going to opt in (da) and take minutes away from Payne, AB, and our first round pick PF in the upcoming draft. Getting KG to mentor the kids is good and having the old cast back from the WCF run is all good. Look for Sammy Cassell to be brought in next as an assistant coach. Fred Hoiberg head??

Next year is going to be fun to watch!!! I'm with the 4-5 guys on this board who are high on this trade....addition by subtraction plus fill up TC and let's watch KG get target center pumped up and rockin again!! Awesome deal Flip in more ways than 1!!

Yeah, but KG never won anything here when he was in his prime. I don't see anything to be romantic about.

Without KG, the Timberwolves would be playing in a different state. You don't have to like the guy, but you should at least respect what he did for this organization. He made the Timberwolves franchise, he is a HOF and he is one of the greatest defensive players of all time. I could care less you don't like him as a person but you're fucking ridiculous if you don't recognize what he did for this franchise as meaning anything just because he didn't win a title.

So he's to blame for all this? I'm not even that hard on the guy.

Here's a tweet from Harper last night:

"Wolves improve to 502-451 when KG is on the roster. 312-791 when he isn't."

He was a great player. That cannot be argued.

First and foremost I'm happy to have KG back.

He was the reason I become a Wolves fan and absolutely ecstatic that he will finish he career at the place it all begun. People need to embrace what he did for this franchise. If it wasn't for KG most of us would be probably supporting another team or the Seattle Timberwolves.

Sure he will only give us 18 mpg, but the guy is a WINNER. And that's something this team has lacked since KG left in the first place.

I think he will have a real positive impact.
