I see your logic but with a losing team we gotta play the hot hand when we are up against a more talented team.

Nice to hear from you Lip! No one here blames you for stopping the regular game reports - we're on track for our potential worst season as a franchise and it's tough to get excited about the young guys when we lose nearly every game and half of them look completely lost out there (AB and LaVine to be specific).

A few comments:

- Lip, Your observation on Chase escapes me. To me he looks like a beaten man that doesn't really care much anymore. He did have a nice game last night though.

- WorldK, while I agree in theory that Pek and Dieng would make a nice starting combo and it's something I was a big advocate for during the pre-season, I'm just not sure Pek can hold up to starter-level minutes. I think they can still play together for stints when Pek comes off the bench, but I'm not sure Pek should ever really play more than 25+ minutes per night again. Or if he does, it won't last.....

- WorldK, I would argue Bennett does one thing well and that's the power dunk. His allegedly good jump shot we all saw to start the year long ago abandoned him. He's now shooting 34% on shots taken from 16 feet out to the 3-point arc. That's not to say he doesn't have the potential to be a good shooter, but he certainly isn't one right now. His overall 42% FG% for a Power Forward that rarely takes 3's is pretty pathetic.

- Tactical Unit, Awesome quarter by quarter notes. I love it.

- Dieng had a nice game, but he also made some crucial errors. He continues to leave his feet way too often defensively and he still travels way too much on offense, usually because he gets too indecisive (he gets called for only half his travels - they used to be much tougher on him. I guess he's officially a vet now!). Don't get me wrong. I love Gorgui and hope he continues to improve, but a team doesn't give up an NBA all-time worst opponent eFG% without the Center being part of the problem.

A word on Pek. Recent comments from Flip and Pek suggest that they have only recently discovered what is going on with Pek's ankle, they know how to monitor it, he is taking medication, and he can manage a little pain during the game, but it's when the pain lingers afterwards that things are taking a turn for the worse.

He has looked much more nimble these past two games then I recall him looking to start the season.

Tim, I agree he's looked pretty damn good considering how long he was out. But no matter what meds and treatments he's receiving, if he has a chronic issue, I just can't see how 25-30+ minutes of pounding in a 290 lbs frame won't eventually take its toll and the pain will become too much to bear again. I hope I'm wrong and they've truly figured out "the formula" for him.
